Jack was excited today. He was thinking that he needed to "borrow" one of the shop cameras and "document" some things on the island.

Maybe he shouldn't have checked out a library book on photography, because all of the shots seemed to be of a cute kitten that was varying shades of gray, almost like stripes. The lighting-book-kitty, however, was more feisty and kept attacking the cords of the light stands with a determined butt-wiggle before each mighty pounce.

It was her first day of work ever, and Hinata was understandably nervous about it. (She did not, in fact, count her missions as a shinobi to be anywhere near the same as working in… well, a book store.)

Nonetheless, she had to smile when she got in that morning and realized that, at the very least, it started off quiet. And Yei was ecstatic at having somewhere new to explore. Hinata grinned a bit, watching her kitten, and going about the process of opening the store.

When that was done, and Yei nowhere to be seen—though Hinata could hear her purring if she stopped to listen—she decided that the kitten had the right idea. Clearly, to work here, she would need to know where things were. It was time to explore the books, though she'd make sure to listen for the door.

Book Haven is Open.

Mary had just gotten back from spending a long weekend with her boyfriend. It hadn't been planned, but when he called her Friday morning and said he had a plane ticket, she couldn't pass up the opportunity.

As she walked into the lobby this morning, she grinned when she saw a dozen red roses waiting for her, thinking that the boyfriend must have sent them to arrive just before she did. Her smile faded when she read the card. They weren't from her boyfriend. They were from the last person on Earth who would send her flowers.

Lion-o was bored. Sure, the plates and silverware were doing their best to keep him entertained with a musical number, but Lion-o knew that the cheese grater and Snarf were in the kitchen deciding on the specials and that was supposed to be his job. He finally got up and went down to the kitchen to tell them that.

Today's Special
Grilled Peanut Butter, Jelly and Banana Sandwiches

Cafe Fina was open.

Geoffrey had woken up early today.

Today... was the start of a new play. Today he'd get to deal with a new set of actors, a new text, a new production. Today, a fresh new brew of insanity was due to begin percolating.

It was like crack.

For today, they'd be doing a read through and so he set up the chairs in a circle before taking his own seat.

[OCD up!]

G'Kar was giving his copy of the script one last look through as rehersals were supposed to start today. He was rather excited to meet his fellow cast members.

Apu was busy ... doing his usual routine. Like anyone would expect differently of him.

Temari was on time for work unlike her mun today! Not that here was much to do other than shoo people away from the weapons and make sure nothing of a plant variety tried to take over the store.

All was well.

Teyla went back to working on trying to come up with a list of her favorite pieces of Earth music while she was in the store today. She was finding that the list was getting surprisingly long as she went through the alphabet, but she wanted it to be complete.

[OCD-free because hi, I am so very late.]

There was a lot of drinking at Caritas. A lot. Marshall was trying to drink away the horror of seeing a vampire. He was also wearing a ring of garlic around his neck. It was really best not to ask.

"I need to bless the water in these pistols," Marshall drunkenly explained to Tino, holding up two water guns. "Do you know how to make holy water?"

Tino shrugged.

After a moment's pause, Marshall made a gesture of a cross over his chest and said to the guns, "Rub a dub dub, thanks for the grub. Amen."

Tino rolled his eyes. Marshall was insane.

Gabriel stretched out a hand and all the windows flung open, letting the rain in. He smiled, and sipped his coffee. Nothing like a little bad weather to cheer you up. Cat hid under a pew.
