Hurley opened up the shop today, figuring he'd be a much better employee this week. He got everything switched on and ready, and even grabbed an album at random and put it on without even looking at the cover.

Today customers would hear the dulcet tones of... Drive Shaft.

Groovy Tunes is open.

Myn wasn't exactly sure how it had ended up that he was suddenly employed, but, well, there he was. He wasn't even completely sure what his boss's name was, but he had a key, and the responsibility of opening on Saturday.

So, the shop was open, with a baffled Myn Donos exploring the shop instead of staying behind the counter.

Turtle was a very busy girl today. She came into the store early to make sure she could get all her technical things finished, leaving her with plenty of time to attack the task she'd been looking forward to completing. It was much more efficient to do it at work, too, when she didn't have to worry about Jeff's awful dog drooling on her posters or Jeff accidentally getting jam on them. There was plenty of room to spread out her materials all over the counter to work on between customers and all the supplies she could ever need were just a stone's throw away in Aisle Handwavey.

Campaign posters. The crux of any good run for student council.

Well, besides your platform, but what good were the things you stood for if people didn't even know who you were?

Plenty of red, white, and blue, enough glitter to make any true Fandomite proud, and a driven determination. What more could you want in your candidate's campaign poster?

No, seriously, what? Turtle needed to know if she planned on making sure she could stand for it and be your girl for junior representative!

Viki had brought her crayons to work today, and pretended she didn’t see the staff rolling their eyes at her for doing so. Crayons were perfectly reasonable to draw with, and besides, it wasn’t as if she’d had to buy them—so why not use them?

Making sure everything was in order, Viki settled behind the desk to draw. She wasn’t particularly good at, but nor was she incredibly terrible, and really—she was having fun. That was the most important part.

While the sign on the door announced that Pixie Dust was open, customers would be hard pressed to find the employee. Unless they called out, because really, Toby was just on the floor on the other side of the counter, making posters for the upcoming election.

Toby thought he would make a great student council member. He could be the guy who brings snacks to all the meetings and like, other stuco-y stuff. So his posters were going to display this with little artsy drawings of food and his name in hot pink puffy paint.

Now that she didn't have books-turned-kittens to distract her with embarrassment, Jen was a little somber and thoughtful today, thinking about yesterday's class exercise. In theory she shouldn't have been second-guessing herself and her decisions as a cop, but no matter how she thought about it, any decision she could have made would have bothered her.

Thoughtful Jen was thoughtful.

Karal was quiet as he and Evey walked along the beach, Altra pacing in front of them and staying well away from the water.

He'd been quiet most of the day, thinking over what had happened in the Doctor's class.

[ooc: Karal and Evey's thread locked to them, please, but it's an open beach.]

As is perhaps expected, Fiyero is sitting at the front desk and browsing his copy of the play, jotting down notes in the column.

He'd like to do well with it, so it only makes sense that he'd review his lines as much as possible.

After a handwavey ordeal of getting a loan and supplies, Ammy and Issun have found themselves an empty building to set this shop up. Issun himself hopped to the challenge of painting a sign for the store and thinking of its brilliant name.

Amateratsu was busy dragging the last large satchel of art supplies into the store. There were several sacks of various store supplies, even a cash register, all laying on the floor. She and Issun now were setting upon the task of stocking and of hiring a few people. Though Issun was pouting because they had no money left over for cute uniforms for their female employees. Once they had some.

Issun managed to hang the sign above the door and hung a "hiring" sign in the window. Although Ammy tried to bite him when he attempted to write "Females only" on the bottom. They began to fix up the inside and waited for a few visitors.

Pretty Sign )

((OOC: Open, though I AM a bit unsure if I'm allowed to commandeer said building... If I'm not, please let me know where I should be opening up shop))

Anakin walked into the gym, placed his cloak--neatly folded--on a nearby chair, and then ignited his lightsaber, nudged nine remotes to life with a quick push of the Force--one up from his usual eight because he felt like pushing hard today--and tried to work off some of the pointless aggression he'd managed to build up yesterday.

That and the fight with Kerrigan had made it very clear that being out of the habit of working out had done him no good at all.

It hadn't taken Martha long to get settled after she arrived on the island. Her room at the hotel was lovely - someone was getting a special thanks for setting that up, and not sticking her in some cheap little room - and she'd finalized all the details to check out the clinic tomorrow. That gave her all evening to explore, and she decided to start with scoping out the most basic necessity: coffee. So far, everything was meeting with her approval.

Arm in arm with HM, she made her way through the streets, windowshopping for the most part as she considered the items she'd need to put together a household... or at least an apartment. Truth be told, she thought Mary should do most of this, but Mary had insisted that the lady should at least get an idea of her tastes that her maid could work with.

...if it hadn't been Mary telling it to her, she'd have told her that she didn't much care and continued on with her morning ritual, but it was Mary and so she was out.

At least, she reflected thoughtfully, I'm enjoying the company.
