It was once again Friday, which meant Arya was once again at Coyote Medicine. She wondered if anyone would be up for engaging her in a sword fight this weekend. Perhaps Minsc would be up for it?

Arya re-arranged an artifacts display, itching to get in some training.

Harper had no idea what to do with the 8-track tape player that she found on the counter when got to the store. She sat there for a while, turning it around and examining it from every angle before she finally just stuck a tape in it.

She spent the rest of her shift dancing to the music, though for the life of her, she couldn't figure out why there was a rap song about a man from Mars who ate cars and guitars.

Things Reborn was open!

Dani's vow to be more cautious with her limited funds ended the moment she saw the news item about a major player in the racing world selling off about 200 horses as well as other livestock. She got out her laptop and looked at the online auction catalog. It wasn't long before she had her wishlist of must-have horses, which, unfortunately, she couldn't actually race without her racing license. But it didn't mean she couldn't prepare for her eventual return to the racing world.

So Dani went ahead and placed a few anonymous bids on some non-racing stock, thinking that it would hurt to get a new mare or two. It's just a shame that she didn't pay more attention to what she was bidding on...

Jen got to the pizza parlor a half hour before the other employees showed up and ended up in the storage closet for the next hour and a half dealing with a precipitous proliferation of pepperoni.

When she finally emerged, she had to duck the swinging sack of flour on a rope that the cook had rigged up outside the storage closet.

"You guys are gonna miss me," she told the guys, who reacted with a chorus of mumbled, half coherent denials.

"Yeah you are."

She decided to take their lack of reaction as confirmation, and spent the rest of her shift downtime checking for spoilers. And maybe getting sucked into that damn myFarm app on Facebook.

Eve wasn't quite so thoughtful today as she opened the gallery. She was more concerned with actually, y'know, working.

Which was why she was in a major cleaning mode. The poor reception area was never going to be the same.

Another Friday, another work day.

Hope was busily poking at the squishy machine, since it seemed determined today to not cooperate. It wasn't broken, it just didn't want to do anything.

"Apu! Make it work!" she said, a faint whine in her voice.

Squishy flavors: Uncooperative, Lemon, Lime.

Hurley wasn't spewing emo all over the place today, which was probably good for the flowers. He hummed a little Three Dog Night to himself as he took care of the shop and the plants. He kinda hoped for some customers to distract him.

The sign in the window read:

Covent Garden Flowers

Fresh flowers from nosegays to bouquets!
Delivery available upon request.

Flowers. Murdock was contimplating flowers. Most importantly, what kind should he get? "You know, it's odd," he mused to ... nobody. "With all the weird things that happen around here, you'd think the flowers would do something once. Maybe singing flowers. That'd be cool."

"Or mabye not. They'd probably turn into muderous flowers if you tried to cut them. What do you think, Spatula?"

The only reply from the water cooler was the usual glub glub.

"Yah, me too."

Freelance Police is open. If a little odd today.

Mysteriously tired from nothing but just a normal night last night, Haley was sipping on coffee between runs from the back to the front with new inventory. She was quick in getting the few new bikes out as she eyed one for herself.

Now, don't get her wrong, Haley loved her older, worn in green BMX bike, but this bike was just shiny; it was shiny and something she knew she could spend plenty of money on without feeling any guilt. Plus, she was surrounded by possible upgrades for it too, not that she could see any that it needed.

Seriously thinking about buying it as she continued moving the new stuff out to the showroom, Haley wondered if it was really such a bad thing that she was probably her own best customer.

Mary was the picture of efficiency this morning, with detailed lists on her brand-new clipboard. She also had brand-new post-it notes and new pens.

The computer, on the other hand, was sitting unused on the front desk, even if it could have done the same job as most of Mary's office supplies.

The incredibly girly posters had been handwavey said to meet a little earlier this time, but Francine had a reason for that. When people got to the main picnic shelter, they'd find all the tables covered today. With food. Some of it was open and obviously for nomming on right away, but most of it was small, pre-packaged items, or things one could easily shove into a small package.

Francine sat up on one of the tables near the front, looking a little less nervous than she had for the last couple of meetings. This stuff, she knew, and didn't feel like an idiot trying to tell other people about.

"One of the things we can do to help out is to make sure the people who are out there defending us have something to eat - and us too. It may not seem like a huge deal, but if you're wearing yourself out fighting or throwing energy bolts at something, you need to re-fuel - and it's the same thing if you're staying up til four in the morning in the library, trying to find a cure or break a spell. If we have food ready, it's one less thing that everybody else doesn't have to think about." She smiled and picked up a small bag of cookies. "And it's just nice to know somebody cares, too, you know? Food's comforting, and it's a reminder that we're all trying to help each other, when you need that little extra push to get through."

"We've got lists of all the members of the Fighting and Magic Reserves here, so we're gonna try two things at once today: get used to putting stuff like this together, and get to know the people on the other teams. Everybody gets to pack a lunch, and then try to go find somebody in one of the Reserves to give it to! Not that they're meeting as groups today, but think of it like a scavenger hunt: you get an extra bag of cookies next week if you managed feed a reservist." She paused, then added, "Or, you know, anybody who looks hungry."

[OOC: Bridgey gets no free cookies; for her, there's a toll. The rest of you may play, for OCD is up!]

A very, very unenthusiastic Robin had made sure that everything was decorated and there was food out, and so forth. And no, for the record, she wasn't dressed like Robin Sparkles. No one had coerced her into it yet.

A banner read, "Welcome, Members of the Musical Community," and as guests filed in, they might take note of the registration area.

[you wait for my OCD omg which is up! have at it.]

Leda was back to her normal self now, having slept most of the day recovering from her detox of the night before. She was dressed for a date which for her tonight meant biker pants, a black tank top and a red hoodie over it. The clothes looked well worn, but clean and looked great on her. She was even wearing a bit of make-up, some eye shadow and lipstick that shimmered when the light hit it just right. Yay magic products!

[Leda is here for Karla, but El Burrito is open for all your Mexican food needs. Karla I figure since you picked the movie, you can put that post up?]

Jolee didn't know who Bruce Springsteen was, but if he had, it still would have been creepy to him that the zombie guitarist was attempting to slide across the stage crotch first. It would seem that no matter how many Springsteen songs the zombies played tonight, Jolee was in no danger of being displaced as the boss.
