Lacey was on the phone again this morning, trying to see about getting Canadian cream soda in for the soda fountains. The whole . . . non-pink-ness . . . aspect of American cream soda hadn't stopped weirding her out yet.

She was a woman on a mission, and she would not be stopped.

Hopefully. Maybe.

She got off the phone to notice the busboy staring at the calendar, like he was trying by sheer force of will to make it be Tuesday

". . . what is wrong with you?"

Luke's is open, and miiiiiiiiiiight be a touch more pink in the near future. Maybe. Who knows?

Worf was sporting some spectacular bruises from his sparring session at Fight Club yesterday.

He had already made a note in his personal log that he would have to go back more often.

In the meantime Worf was back in the meditation area, going through some basic katas in order to stretch out some of his sore muscles. If anyone entered he could easily enter the main store area to assist them.

G'Kar was still busy writing in his journal. In fact, it would probably be glued to him all week. He was beginning to contimplate the possiblity of talking to someone about it. Preferably someone who was a telepath.

In the meantime, Apu was busy cleaning and restocking shelves.

Eleanor had managed to find the establishment and was surprised at all the things there. She didn't even know what half of those games were.

She sat down at a table and ordered a tea while she waited for Leda, checking the place and people out.

(Eleanor's here for Leda, but anyone else can catch her too. as usual, the place is open for others.)

Detective Constable Daisy Day was having a day, the sort of day where a lot of time was spent with drooping shoulders and staring ruefully into space, the sort of day where she kept taking nips of coffee from Coop's pot instead of hers not because she needed the better coffee but because she actually couldn't taste much of a difference in it. It hadn't been a bad weekend at all; in fact, it had been just the opposite of bad, except for just one little kink in the chain, and that kink made everything jostle unpleasantly when it got around to it. She couldn't very much help it; conversations bringing light to the fact that law and justice didn't always march to the same beat, much less the same song, always brought her down; the fact that the conversation had been with Ben only made it worse.

Maybe DiNozzo'd come up with something worth reopening that case for; that might put her on the right track. Because Lord only knew nothing else was going to happen around here.

Romeo didn't realize until he got on the phone to try to schedule a swimsuit delivery that this was likely his last shift; next Monday would be taken up with packing and goodbyes.

He'd never much wanted this job -- he couldn't quite remember how Tink had talked him into taking it other than that there had been a lot of alcohol and a fire pit -- but, after eighteen months, it was a part of him.

Well. He'd make this last shift count. He pumped Kanye West through the store speakers then sampled from all of the bottles under the counter, including some of the scary bright-colored ones that smelled of perfume and flowers and hadn't been touched since Tink left. Once he was just intoxicated enough to be properly enthused by the task, he started weeding the ugliest clothes out for a proper bonfire. One green cropped top was too ugly to sell but not quite bad enough to burn; Romeo tossed it and a few bras in absurd sizes into a cardboard box in the alley for anyone who might want them, then lit a blue furry thing on fire.

It would be a good day.

Turtle was in a very good mood today. She was a little sore from fight club, but it wasn't too bad, plus the call with her father helped that a lot, too. A good mood meant that she was being incredibly industrious, too, behind the desk at Cabot and Associates, researching and filing and organizing and making handy little spreadsheets she hoped that everyone else would find useful. The coffee she was drinking probably only exaserbated things, especially when you considered how much sugar was in the coffee to make it even remotely drinkable.

Another hour of this and Turtle was going to be bouncing off the walls.

The weekend had been a quiet one, except that it seemed he was going to be without a roommate from now on. That suited Ender fine - if anything, it was a luxury he hadn't had in a long while. Not that Ichigo had ever been much of a disturbance.

He opened up the store early that morning and moved into the workshop, a new laptop lightly slung over his shoulder. He finally had a new project in mind, one that might actually exceed what he was capable of, mechanically, but it was a start.

He set the laptop down, called up some schematics from the computer, and got to work.

Brynmor had to be taken out every once in a while. The pup was growing well and at a steady rate, and he had the intelligence required to learn. Which meant he'd already acquired some of the most basic commands, and Arthur was confident he'd make for a magnificent hunting dog.

He'd have to take Bryn back home, if they managed to return.

Still a little bruised but otherwise... while not upbeat, at least somewhat settled, from yet to be posted salle practice, he walked the dog on her rounds through the park by himself, for once.

Now, originally, Charlotte was going to wait until some shopping to get something precisely to go with it, but, really, having a new hat just sitting there seemed like a terrible waste, so she threw something cute together from her closet to compliment it (it wasn't like she didn't have tons of things to choose from), and brought her work out of her office for the day and into the coffee shop, to get a little bit of fresh air and maybe fill up on hazelnut cappuccinos. She didn't even care if all the foam made her feel a little bloated; she was practically already married, it was okay to feel bloated.

Monday meant that Alex was manning the Magic Box for the day.

For once, she was feeling relaxed and had yet to get any more calls from her brothers either about taking over her room or her grades. Yeah, that could get tiring, fast.

Putting out a set of new charms, Alex settled behind the counter, all smiles.

The Magic Box is open.

Bender. Was totally horse ass when it came to poker. Of course he'd peeked at the cards. Bender had no sentience filter about cheating - Exhibit A, Fry.

It wasn't really cheating. Not the got-caught-for kind. But if that white horse wanted to trample the cards rather than call them, then Bender was going to be feeling no guilt about adding those apples to the pile of carrots that currently made up his winnings.

Three kings. Ha! "Read that and leak saltwater, you four footed sack of junk!"

Time for the Bender vistory dance. Shake it!
