And in the early morning light that is Saturday, those who might frequent the docks on the island of Fandom might notice that a rather large wharf had appeared over night.

One might ponder the mystery of a rather large wharf appearing in Fandom in such a random fashion.

Then again this being the weekend it is, who would really notice?

[If you have reason to visit a Worf Wharf, why then by all means... drop by! However I wouldn't expect a lot of interaction.]

Having come by Friday night to discover that Shelley didn't appear to be home, Castiel had settled in in an out of the way spot outside the building to wait patiently for her to return.

When the sun rose Saturday, Cass found himself to be standing on the edge of a street by a fairly nice looking apartment building in a rumpled suit and uncomfortable shoes. "I may have had too much to drink." He turned in a slow circle, noting the sun on the distant, watery horizon, the less than Mission architecture, and the lack of palm trees. "Scratch that, I haven't had enough to drink."

Not finding any handy bottle or flask in his coat, Cass set out in search of booze.

It's possible he didn't realize that sun on the water was rising, not setting. It's also possible that he didn't much care.

[ooc: * I can't spell the full name, okay? Generally establishy, but open to anyone who might be about in the streets at this early hour.]

After a week off and a certain amount of...excitement, Roy was glad to be getting back to work. It felt normal, and not in the way that was likely to get him shot or cut up any more, since that was his usual kind of 'normal.' Legal research was kind of boring soothing.

No, he didn't know anything was wrong, yet. Give him time.

What Angua was doing at the station on a Saturday morning was a very good question; if anyone knew the answer, she'd appreciate it greatly if they'd share it. Because she certainly didn't know.

She did know that she was feeling a little restless and a little bored, and maybe some part of her brain had the ridiculous notion that if she came in for just a few hours in the morning, she could make enough of a dent in her paperwork that, on Monday, it wouldn't seem like such a heavy load. A very small part of her brain. One most likely delusional.

Especially since when she came in, it was not to her desk that she went first, but to the coffee maker.

It did seem rather quieter here on a Saturday morning, she'd give it that.

[[ expecting, natch, a particular encounter, but station is SOOOOOO so so very open. So much. And, if Angua's met you and you're different, but you don't mind her being able to still tell who you are by scent, please let me know! ]]

Oz, the Great and Terrible, let out a sigh as he looked around the empty lot. Wonderful. He'd told the others he knew a short cut. Who knew how long it would take the rest of the circus to catch up?

Well nothing for it but to wait. Hmm, maybe he could impress some of the rubes while he was here. Island folk were even better than small town folk when it came to audiences.

[Oz the Werewolf is now the Marvelous Wizard of Oz from the Judy Garland version. Post is open.]

Hurley was completely oblivious to any weirdness going on this weekend so far. And really, when he did find out, he'd just be really grateful he wasn't a crazy veterinarian. He was behind the counter at Groovy Tunes, ready to help anyone who came in.

Today's mix at Groovy Tunes was songs from 'Purple Rain', 'Sign o' the Times', 'The Ratman Soundtrack', 'Dire Straits', 'Stone Roses', 'Second Coming', and 'Sade'.

It was an eclectic mix, for sure.

When James woke up this morning without his friends, he realized that the incident with the rhinoceros hadn't ended well. Sure he was alive, but at what cost? He had woken up in a strange bed - which wasn't in the ocean, England, OR New York - and had to look all over town to find his giant peach. It had landed atop some trees in a forest! That was a strange place for it to end up, but he didn't care. James quickly climbed the trees and then what remained of the ramp around the peach until he was on top of it once again.

Now he just had to search it for clues. Or, even better, just sit there until somebody came along who could tell him which way it was to New York.

[OOC: Here mostly for... myselves, but open with the stipulation that I'm going to be afk until probably 2 Central.

Jim is, of course, James of James and the Giant Peach, which is a weird damn story.]

Apparently the island was being odd, again. But this time Sophie had managed not to be effected, so she was opening the art gallery anyway, and sitting back to be amused if anyone she knew stopped by.

She also had comic book art up on the walls, from multiple sources, including superheroes to The Endless to Visitors in Eden.

It seemed appropriate.

[gallery is open and OCD-free!]

Mitchell had gotten in very late last night - a red eye flight, but then it was hard to avoid that when you were headed to the states. He had been wandering back into town to find the place at 72 Serendipity (and hope they didn't shut him off) but an unfortunate detour through the park had... led to his very first true encounter with Fandom Weird.

For him, this was unusual.

For Dante Gabriel Rossetti, waking up on a park bench with a crick on his neck hardly was, although he was a little surprised by the lack of a hangover, and a little disturbed by his lack of a hat.

He sat up, reaching for his unruly mop of hair, and paused. "...What did I drink last night?"

He needed to find a hat shop. Or, ideally, his old hat back, since he suspected all he had for coin was buttons off his shirt.

At least his shirt had buttons.

The Albanian Naval Patrol vessel Iliria had no idea why she was docked in Fandom Harbor, tied up to the wharf, or where her crew was.

Because she was a motherf***in' boat, so she had no idea of anything.

Davy had been trying to get to Mont St. Michel (he'd seen pictures of it, it looked cool, he was tired of jumping between New York, Florida, his place in the middle of nowhere, Mexico, and the library in Ohio, and Millie had told him to leave her alone this weekend while she studied for midterms), but this wasn't it.

Oh, sure, it looked kind of right, but it didn't feel very French as he jumped (calling it teleporting was for other people, and he was alone and unique and so very, very special) to the park. He frowned, jumped back to the library for the book with the picture in it, jumped back to the park and compared.

Nope, he'd managed to do something wrong. Tears welled in his eyes. Why was he such a failure?

[OOC: Anakin is now book!Davy from the Jumper series. Don't you want to punch him?]

Jaina was not quite herself today, so she would not be opening up the bar. On Monday she was going to have withdrawals from having gone this long without showing up to work.

Tino, however, was completely himself today, and he was looking oh so pleased about having to be here on a day everyone had gone insane again.

...Maybe he'd get a hookup from someone who didn't know any better. That made him feel better.

Ellie, having no idea anything weird was going on, happily settled behind the desk in the hotel lobby. Vishuddha was sleeping on the floor beside her. She had been taking care of the dog the last few days and was seriously considering keeping it. Vishuddha was so well behaved, she did not think bringing him (her?) to the hotel would be a problem. Even Gunther didn't seem to mind. Or maybe he didn't notice.

Sherlock Holmes did not, in fact, wait patiently for the attractive constable to return with a warrant. Warrants were for police officers.

Which he wasn't.

So, he was attempting to pick a lock that was possibly a few centuries past his understanding. "Where is Watson when you need him?" He muttered to himself. A good kick to the door would solve all this.

Because Jean was aware that the other version of herself mad plans to be here, she didn't think any harm would come in seeing to this boy.

This non-Scott boy.

So, she waited patiently at a table. Yes, still in the white and gold Phoenix costume. It was almost refreshing that none of the serving staff even looked twice at it.

Her chest on the other hand....

This ship clearly was more spacious on the inside than the outside had indicated.

Rose DeWitt Bukater, however, was more disturbed about the fact that the servants had apparently mixed up her luggage with the clothes of someone who couldn't decide if he was a man or a prostitute.  The clothes that were in the closet of her stateroom!  Rose considered herself an open-minded and forward-thinking lady, but she was still a lady, thank you very much.

Dressing had taken longer than she'd expected, and without a maid, it was harder to put her hair up than she'd expected.  She may not have been dressed at the height of fashion, but she was not going to be ashamed in the costume either.

The bar seemed to be the most active establishment on the ship, but Rose couldn't quite allow herself to go into it on her own let alone order a drink, so she found herself in a seat at the tea shop with a cup of a tea and plate of cookies in front of her.  Less attention was being paid to the tea than to the window onto the passage and all the people passing by.

Robin raced through the streets, hot on the trail of the Pants Purloin-er. They were a slippery quarry, but the Boy Wonder always got his man.

But there was something missing. As he paused to decide which way to go next, he glanced to his side. Where Batman should have been.

[What's this? An open post for problems and persistent...posting? Alliteration fail aside, this post is open.]
