Dinah had been walking into town when suddenly: she was on a horse.

"Whoaa!" The horse whoooa'd, and Dinah almost slid off sideways. "Um. Okay. Thataway-" Dinah tugged the reins and the horse clip-clopped over to Covent Garden Flowers, then whoooa'd again, nearly dumping her off with its suddenness. Okay, she fell off. She still managed to mostly land on her feet.

"Okay nice--" Horse. Gone.

Covent Garden Flowers is open. And confused. And amused.

The weather was great--- and no other random horses showed up on the way there for Dinah, at least. There was a grill for burgers and brats and some skewers of meat, a big cooler full of drinks, and a couple bags of chips. Plus a cake. Big cake.

Time to get ready for Karla's (mostly!) Sweet Sixteen Surprise Party.

[OCD up!]

Second to last work shift as a non-graduated student? Yeah, that had occurred to Katchoo. That could've sent her into an impressive brooding morass for the entire day, but then the horse had, well, happened. That had granted her a mood upgrade from Morass of Melancholy to Pond of Pessimism.

Or something like that.

The point being that she'd be spending large chunks of her shift out on the steps with a sketchbook on her knees and a cigarette dangling from her fingers, knocking out a series of sketches in which Fandom wackiness seemed to be a recurring theme.

Thanks, horse.

[OOC: Post open, slowplay during the day likely to be beyond epic as I've got two missed days of work to catch up on. Augh.]

Jack was behind the counter at The Imperial Brim flipping through a magazine. It was totally work related, as it was an entertainment mag detailing outrageous hats from people like Cher and Lady Gaga. He was just reading it for the articles, not to snicker at the 'fashion' photos.

It was a very exciting day at Wellspring Arms.

... Okay, not really.

Mostly it consisted of Ino being curled up in Cable-san’s chair and reading while glancing at her watch every now and then.

MCA Lobby, [4/28]

Mina was doing some tidying in the MCA Lobby today. Paperwork was forgotten as she did the spring cleaning.

That was, until she found herself sitting backwards upon an unexpected equine.

"...if you defecate on this carpet before I get you outside, I shall find a glue factory," she threatened."

That was the extent of her surprise. Mild annoyance.

The Gig | Wednesday

Gwynn arrived at the Gig earlier than her usual time. By the time it was her usual time of being there, the horses were groomed and fed and she had started on cleaning out the barn. After working in there for awhile, she came out and walked the paddock to make sure everything looked okay. She took all of the horses for a ride...

...and even after all of that, she still had several hours left ahead of her.

She settled beneath one of the trees she loved with a notebook on her lap. The notebook contained a letter she was working on to her family.

Funny how working on that looked a lot like leaning against the horses and playing with their manes.

The Gig was open.

Lion-o wasn't sure how it happened. He set out for the diner as usual, but found himself riding there on a horse. Still, it was worth it to get the cook and the busboy coming outside to stare at him when he arrived.

Dru was still trying to figure out how it was that she wound up riding a horse for her trip down to open up the store. She wasn't even going to think about where the horse disappeared to when she got off of it.

After straightening up a bit, Dru poked about the merchandise looking for birthday gifts the parties.

The Magic Box was open.

Tino found himself alone at Caritas tonight. Sorry, dude, hockey was more important to Marshall than helping you out.

[I might fall asleep at any moment. Mod Tino please]

It wasn't much past dawn, but Marcus was up and walking around town. When he reached the docks, he stopped, caught as always by the sight of the ocean. It had taken on a weird sort of importance, here in this place he couldn't seem to leave. Tipping his head back to watch a seagull spiral up into the clouds and then head out to sea, he decided being jealous of a bird was ridiculous, and anyway, an island beat the hell out of a cell any day...

Something suddenly wasn't right. Of that he was certain. Glancing down, he realised he was on a horse.

"I'm on a horse." Obvious, yes, but some things are so absurd they must be said aloud.

The horse didn't seem bothered as Marcus shifted awkwardly, turning its head to gaze upon him with a look of mild inquiry, as if to ask, Is there a problem?

Marcus stared at the horse and the horse stared back, ears forward and tail swishing. Impasse. With a mild grunt of annoyance, he climbed down and landed with his back to the horse.

Which, he realised as he turned around, had disappeared.

[Open for anyone who doesn't mind serious slowplay after 8:30. Also, the number of times I typed hore instead of horse…let's just say this post would have had a rather different tone.]

Alex was wondering idly about possible summer topics, for a class. When not surfing Above the Law's coverage of a 3L at Harvard making comments about genetic basis for intelligence discrepancies. Nothing like sending out a mass e-mail making yourself look like a racist ...

The Docks, Wednesday

When he got to the Homer, Jack couldn't help but notice the distinctive smell of Old Spice. And that it was coming from him.

Oh, goodie, the island decided to overrule his choice of cologne for today. Jack shrugged -- after all, this was pretty mild, all things considered.

He also noticed two tickets to that thing Carter loved. That was... more annoying, since he was in a different universe, she wasn't on the planet anyway, and BESIDES, nothing could ever happen between them while he was her boss.

And then he was on a horse. On the beach. Why? How? Those were questions he'd learned to stop asking.

After an annoyingly long trudge across the sand, he got back to the dock, where he found that someone had altered his sign. It now read:

Captain Jack's Wild Ride
You're on a boat, with the man your man could smell like.

Naomi was rather surprised as she made her way to work to find that she was suddenly on a horse.

She stared for a few seconds but merely shrugged as the horse got her to where she needed to go and then the horse was gone.

Naomi just shook her head as she made sure that everything was set up and organized for her shift. At least it gave her something to think about other than the fact that graduation was coming up and that she'd be leaving soon.

Stark Industries is open.
