There was nothing to do today. No paperwork, no random animals popping up, even the Troopers were just standing there.

Her computer was back to working order too but she wasn't in the mood to use it.

Reese drummed her fingers on her desk and said, to no one in particular: "There can't be nothin'."

Ralph looked at her.

"There can't be nothin', right?"

He shrugged.

"Where are those animals when you need 'em?"

There was only one thing to do when your morning had consisted of looking for your lightsaber and finding a blue-haired girl waiting for you at the weapons locker instead, especially when your girlfriend, the cougar, kept trying to attack her: Ben headed to the beach.

But not before he picked up the flight simulator, which whined the entire trip down about how much Anakin must really hate him because he was never around when he turned human.

Ben sat on a blanket and wondered what would happen if he tossed all three of his problems into the water.

Arya covered inventory the past few weeks, so the store was in order for the most part. She situated herself in the front of the store and decided to see if she could alphabetize the display. That would keep her busy for... a few minutes, at least.

Fortunately, Warren hadn't found himself afflicted with Fandom's unique sense of humor today, and so he didn't have to worry about carting an annoying third party along with him to dinner this evening. As it stood, he was pleased to have Karla all to himself tonight, thank you, without a small horde of people tossing in their two cents at inopportune moments during the conversation.

And just to be certain that it would stay that way, he might have paid extra in advance to make certain that the tables near theirs were going to be empty, too.

Warren was thoughtful that way.

"So," he said, smiling as he pulled a chair out for Karla, "pineapple curry, hm?"

[For the date, of course, but if you have a taste for Thai, it is an open restaurant.]

The scarf had agreed to go to Caritas with Chuck, but she was making it pretty obvious she was still mad at him. Chuck didn't much care. He had other things to worry about than a bitchy anthropomorphic scarf.

[I'll be AFK after 8:30 so mod Tino after that!]

When Vimes woke up this morning, he had been certain of a few things. First of all being that Fandom would in some way manage to make him want to have a drink.

Second, Ralph needed to make more coffee for such an occurrence.

Third... there was bald man with the number 177 on his shirt, standing about in his office. It had only gone down hill from there. As one might expect from finding such a thing.

After an argument or five, he was allowing his supposed 'badge' to stay in the office and lurk as he looked over the dreaded paperwork. It seemed fond of lurking even though the lighting wasn't right for a proper one.

It was going to be an interesting weekend.

Something was bothering Harper as she looked around the store. It took her a little while to realize that none of the inventory had really changed lately and some of the merchandise was starting to look a little dated. And considering it was all used merchandise, it was already a little dated.

"Oh well. Everything looks better with a new coat of paint!" she decided. The first item to fall victim to her taste in re-decoration was an old bookshelf. Harper thought it needed a really bold color.

Things Reborn was open! Be afraid.

[OCD-free and late because I was painting all day.]

Marcus had been having such a good morning. He did the rounds of the junkyard, checked the fences, and unlocked the shed, experiencing an unfamiliar sensation of satisfaction that everything was where it should be.

Done with that, he went to lean on the gatepost, looking out at the rest of the town, feeling strangely mellow. “Maybe this place isn’t so ba--”

Which was precisely when Marcus turned into a raccoon.

Any fondness he’d developed for the island since last weekend disappeared. Grumbling, he struggled free of his clothes and shoulder holster, then sat up on his hind legs, pawing at his face.

He was annoyed and he looked it.

[Briefly expecting one, but please mod the junkyard should you need it.]
