Atlas Gym | Thursday

It was quiet in the gym after Dimitri worked through his usual routine. The staff seemed to be giving him a wide berth, which was unusual on Jessi's day. Perhaps she'd seen the dangerous gleam in his eyes as he assaulted the heavy bag. Or maybe it was the intensity and sheer number of sit ups he performed. Whatever it was, Dimitri was fine with Jessi keeping away. He would have to hold his tongue, and as it was, that was going to be a difficult feat if the reason for his ire showed her face. Perhaps her most recent lapse in judgment proved permanent.

In an effort to regain and maintain his sense of inner and outer calm, Dimitri now sat poised on the thick, plush mats, legs crossed with his hands resting on his knees, palms open to the ceiling. Meditation was the key. Deep, even breaths in and out. No thoughts, just a singular focus on his breathing.

How long the quiet lasted would depend on the company, but Atlas was open for business.

Lindsay arrived at the store after a detour to the Perk for a fancy caffeinated beverage she couldn't get back home. Maybe it would even help her stay awake today. She was certain falling asleep at work would be frowned upon.

[no ocd today, but open!]

Hoshi was becoming uncomfortably aware that the end of summer was just right around the corner. Today, she was looking online at apartments for rent in her target neighborhood. The sooner she found a place to live, the more time she had to plan her move.

Tara had taken every pillow from the store and used them to set up a giant area on the floor for a kitty - hedgehog playdate.

When that proved less than a rousing success (Mr. Moxy kept trying to attack Kennedy), she shifted things so it was a hedgehog playground. The cat could just wander the store on her own.

Neither of the animals was entirely happy with that, but Tara was and she was the one with thumbs. She won.

[OOC: Open Magic Box. OCD hid from the fierce beasts.]

Didi was a bit distracted as she arrived at the coffee shop to meet Karla. She'd realized when she looked at her calendar that Jono was turning 19 today, and she had no plans at all for what to give him. She'd have to come up with something special quickly.

She pondered that as she sipped her tea, watching people pass along the street outside.

[OOC: Didi's here for Karla, but the Perk is open for your other coffee needs!]

Helen was here, but her mind was more focused on her upcoming evening away with James tomorrow night. The horses seemed to find her distraction most amusing.

Millie was amusing herself by rearranging various displays in the store. Beware of floating bookshelves!

Castiel was back behind the pulpit.

OMG.

"A new friend told me this week that I ought to give a sermon on the 'beauty of a single sakura sailing on a gentle western wind ♥'. Yes, he was quoting the hearts directly )

[ooc: OCD coming up! and we're rolling.]

Almost a week had passed and Chuck still wasn't feeling any better about the situation he had been put in. He was dealing, but he knew he had to get over this brooding thing soon, or at least learn to cover it. He hated people hovering over him and, let's face it, the emo thing was annoying, even to him.

He settled down behind the bar with a bottle of scotch, figuring that was a step in the right direction to get him in a better mood.

Absolutely nothing was going on in Stark Industries today. No fruit, no candies, no strangeness of any kind.

Hiccup was sitting behind the desk, head on his notebook.

He was probably deep in thought.

Probably.

Ignore the faint snoring.

[OOC: You can wake him up, but I'm not really available.]
