She was tired for no real reason which was always the most distressing way to be tired in Hinata’s mind. Yei darted around the shop, as was normal for her, and Hinata clung to a cup of tea while sitting behind the counter and trying to force herself awake.

There wasn’t even anything to blame her current state on and that was off-putting.

Hinata sighed and consoled herself with more tea.

In preparation for collecting rent, Loki was...half asleep behind the desk. What, you actually expected him to work? Fat fucking chance. He expected his tenants to get their rent in on time and be right about it. If he had to check behind their backs, he'd get angry and that was just fucking exhausting.

Besides, it was hot outside and that just made Loki fucking tired as shit. He'd just be behind the desk, lounging in his comfortable chair and dozing lazily.

Groovy Tunes, Tuesday

Jonothon had done it again. He'd gotten up and out of bed, and he'd made his way into town (with his guitar, yes), and to the Groovy Tunes, where, with the exception of about an hour during the day that he was going to take off for class instead of the lunch break that he never needed, he would be around.

All day. Probably well past close, just because he could.

There was a Now Hiring sign up in the door, and Jono was behind the counter, idly picking at his guitar. And if he happened to give a special sort of reverence to Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, then what of it?

The Groovy Tunes is open.

Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Tuesday

With the start of the new semester came the start of Cable's usual OCD: sorting out new students and new teachers on his forms, transcribing any important details gleaned from radio, and generally being paranoid diligent.

Tether was skipping around the store with a happily flailing Jan in tow, crowing something about Dora that Cable endeavoured not to think about. She was almost three, now, and it was... something.

He frowned after her. Weapons training, soon.

Dite's Decadent Delights, Tuesday afternoon

Raven was doing her best to be composed and serene as she opened up the store for the day.

She wasn't thinking of stupid Justice League members and their stupid outfits with their stupid fishnet stockings and stupid top hats. Nope, not at all. She totally wasn't bitter.

Instead she was calmly moving about the shop and cleaning all the things.

Ariel was absolutely thrilled to be back in the store; after the trauma that was expecting to never be able to wear human clothes again, either for being seaweed or for being a mermaid, she took a renewed excitement to all the gorgeous fabrics and bright colors and cute little accessories. She was easily back into the routine of adoring everything in sight for at least the first hour of her shift.

It was also a good way to forget about the fact that, at work again, she could easily be cornered by Those To Be Avoided who would know where to find her.

And, once that was done, she settled in at the counter, after moving the magazine rack with great faith back next to it, and found her old sparkly sign. She tilted her head. True, technically speaking, she didn't need it anymore. But, on the other hand, knowing the curse to now be over, it could be an awful lot of fun.

So into the window it happily went:

Shunsui had already had something that needed to be done today, and, though it was hardly much work at all, he decided that it was easier to keep momentum up while it was going and decided to add to his productivity by going into the shop today.

Not that that was much work either. In fact, he was so proud of his productivity that he cracked open a bottle of sake to celebrate.

He should be productive more often!

Today was another fine day at Strokes of Genius, if one ignored that Jane was apparently dealing with what looked like post-inventory fatigue. With the influx of new faces, she was hoping to get the attention of at least one young impressionable mind and get it to work for her. One could dream.
