Bod was in a quiet mood when he arrived for work. He greeted the staff and asked after them but the conversations were short and mostly superficial. They were sincere though and Bod managed a smile for each of them before he wandered out to the front. The counters got wiped down, the floor got mopped and then he flipped the sign to open before settling down with a book and waiting for customers.

Luke's was open for business and Bod was around to help, if needed.

Her second time at the store was, to put it in a way, less enthusiastic than the first. She was still thrilled with having a job and what-not, but in all honesty, the events of last Wednesday were still heavy in her head. And the realization she needed to either listen to some adults that perhaps did care about her was a bit unsettling. Because, really, adults. Either way, Charlie arrived early, as she would need to leave for classes later, and go the store set. Which basically meant turning on the computer, slouching on the chair behind the counter, and picking maybe a song she wouldn't hear in any other circumstances. Yeah, fuck you very much, world.

Apparently Farmville was down for maintenance, which meant that Mary had no excuse for actually getting some work done. She figured it was a good opportunity to back-up data from both her laptop and the front desk computer, but in the meantime, she was bored out of her mind. It was bad enough that she debated trying to teach Gunther how to play checkers, but he claimed that he was too busy to leave the kitchen.

Jenny supposed she really should think about actually showing up for work more often. It would mean less time she had to devote to paperwork when she did so, for one thing. And the paperwork did pile up so fast when one blew off one's employment for over a month. As did the new stock that she hadn't even ordered, half of which was hideous. She needed to order some actual stock she'd had a hand in. Ugh.

Also, the bar under the counter was dry. She'd rectified that as soon as she arrived, but she'd been horrified by the discovery.

Jenny was behind the counter, surrounded by piles of paperwork and a computer she was trying very hard not to electrocute in a tizzy, and Pixie Dust was open. The sign in the window read:

Harper was used to working with second-hand stuff, but everything in the store seemed a lot older-looking than usual. She got to work separating out stuff she could fix and stuff that did not appear salvageable. Certainly a few of the furniture pieces could use a new coat of paint and there was clothing that could use some repairs and alterations.

Unfortunately, some of her more creative alterations may include cutting the sleeves off a sweatshirt and replacing them with ones from another piece of clothing that really did not match.

It was probably a good thing that Ariel had a date tonight. Not just any date, but the date she'd been looking forward to all week because it involved two of her new favorite things: Cheetos pizza and Chuck.

She decided to be proactive and already put in the order for the pizza, and so now all she needed was the Chuck part. She did have a soda to keep her occupied while she waited, having gotten there way too early, but the people who worked there were so great and gave her a crazy straw with all the loops and everything. Even if Chuck totally stood her up and there was no date, the evening would still be a rousing success.

[[ expecting one nerd date on probably SP of doom, but the pizza parlor is open for all your pizza needs! ]]

Jessica totally hadn't been late to work today. Really. And if she had, it was Sookie's fault, since she kept calling her but getting her voice mail, and it had her just a little bit worried now.
