Yei was racing around the store today and Hinata thought that she was chasing the dust bunnies but wasn't entirely sure of that. She didn't bother to deliberately find out, however, as some things were more entertaining as mysteries and watching Yei be happy was enough to lift her mood slightly.

She tidied up the store and set out tea for any visitors that might come by, and then settled in to continue working on her wording of a letter. Some things, truly, had to be phrased just so.

It was a busy day, all of thirteen days before Valentine's Day and Ino was hard at work and grateful for the work. It meant that she could fling herself into the job and not think about everything else while having good reason to not. She figured that, maybe, it was a bit pathetic for her to be so happy to not have to contrive a reason to not think, but--Ino didn't really care about that either. She'd think later.

Turning the radio up, because it gave her another way to drown out her thoughts, Ino was actually in a fairly good mood.

That was what happened when you avoided thinking of everything that was important to you, yes. At least, if you were Ino.

Pixie Dust; Tuesday [ 02/01 ].

Ariel was quiet at the shop today, though the music she had pumping through the stereo was not. She was just feeling terribly contemplative, which left her much calmer than usual. She barely even gushed over all the pretty things she was folding and hanging up and putting away or cleaning from the fitting rooms.

Mostly, she was thinking she should see about making an extra trip home to spend some time with her father. With everything going on with Raven and Jono right now, it made her homesick, and, most importantly, it made her want to make sure Triton knew how much she appreciated what he had sacrificed for her, despite her foolishness and her mistakes and her selfishness.

Thankfully, though, there were also her club activities to look forward to today, especially the sorority. Meeting at the spa today? Just what the doctor ordered! She'd just have to get through her shift first...

The sorority girls were under orders to meet at the spa today, and as soon as they'd all gotten in they were ushered to a back room to change into robes if they wanted. Once they were so attired, Quinn and Emma started to talk.

"Welcome to the best business on the island," Quinn announced. "Counting Caritas. Of course true beauty is inner, but every so often you need a nice manicure or some highlights or a massage to help you remind your inner beauty to shine. We've rented the salon for the next few hours, and you'll be able to sample a full array of options. If you aren't sure what to do, ask us."

They'd have opinions. Oh, so many opinions.

"You'd be surprised how much confidence a new haircut can give you right before a big interview," Emma agreed. "We know we're smart and that outside beauty doesn't reflect inside awesome," unless you were Emma, who was simply perfect both ways, "and vice versa, but a little bit of pampering can go a long way towards making you feel good about yourself."

"There's also some great health benefits to things like massages and facials, so don't dismiss them lightly."

George was bored. George was usually bored, at work. That didn't make her any less bored, today.

So she grabbed some magazines and started tearing out interesting-looking letters, and putting them into a pile. When she got enough, she was going to see what kind of ransom note she could write up.

She caught Apu giving her a Look and glared. "I don't judge how you have fun."

Yeah. Turtle and Canary was open.

Mary worried about Gunther sometimes. He seemed perfectly normal until Mary took a long-distance phone call from Danny McCoy. While Mary tried to reassure Danny that Delinda was not be pregnant just because she was craving corn dogs, she noticed Gunther had abandoned the buffet set-up and was now cowering behind the specials board.

It's too bad she didn't know how Gunther's mind worked. He knew that Danny was an ex-Marine as well as Mary's childhood sweetheart and expected him to show up to kick his ass if Gunther spent too long gawking at Mary.

He ran, and he had always been running. Feet bloody from running across asphalt with no shoes, shirt gone...somewhere...he ran like something terrible was going to catch up with him at any second.

For all he knew it might be. He couldn't remember anything. There was only blackness in his mind. And panic.
