As Firekeeper and Blind Seer came to work today, they were confronted with... absolutely nothing unusual.

That was enough to make them both somewhat nervous. Fortunately, this nervousness did not last long, as it was about an hour into her shift that Firekeeper was pelted with a half-dozen apples. Apples that looked as if they'd each been painted a rainbow of colors. A quick examination revealed that no, it was not paint, and a tentative bite confirmed that despite the odd skin, they still did taste exactly as apples should.

The horses, unsurprisingly, were quite pleased by this particular development.

Well, Dolf was in better spirits than last week, but that wasn't really that hard. He was chatting animatedly with Apu near the front most of the time, pointing out that maybe, just maybe, they could do with stocking a few more Fair Trade products... It wouldn't cost them that much more, and it would be better for the environment. And for the farmers. And so on.

Apu just nodded wearily, and completely failed to tell Dolf about the gremlin he'd seen sneaking around the stock rom.

Surely the boy would figure that one out himself eventually...

Lurking around in a graveyard on a cloudy, dreary day seemed to fit the typical stereotype Bod had seen in many a movie. The only other thing he needed was a dark trench coat and sunglasses to complete the illusion. Unfortunately, Bod was not up for fitting stereotypes today. His jacket was a light brown and his umbrella was bright pink (he'd thought it better for walking at night).

The ground was wet beneath his boots as he walked along the aisles of tombstones. Occasionally, he'd stopped and said hello to a person or two, guessing them there and going about their day even if he couldn't see them. He'd left flowers on graves that looked untended or lonely and said a few kind words for those that had been gone longest.

Now, he was just standing idly in between two tombstones, looking thoughtful and mellow, at least. Being in a graveyard tended to do that to him. It was sometimes why he didn't want to leave.

[Open place in town so open post if someone's around the graveyard]

Ariel had been worried that X was going to be a tricky letter, but she found out those worries had been unfounded as she discovered XTC. It wasn't as danceable as something like Yo-Yo Ma, but it was at least enjoyable to kind of bop to it as she organized some of the new shipments of CDs.

It was a mellow sort of day. Granted, it was likely that as soon as anyone came in, Ariel would easily go into her usual bouncy form, but this was nice for the time being.

After catching a portal to Fandom, Zayne sent out a quick message out to some friends, letting them know that he was back in town for a couple days.

It was strange being here now. But that wasn't Fandom's fault. It was him and his life that had changed completely since the last time he'd been here and even more since he graduated nearly a year ago. Back then, he was a guy who was just learning and wanted to be a Jedi more than anything. Now he had earned the right to be a Jedi Knight, but turned it down because of everything he'd learned.

But while he had changed, coffee at the Perk hadn't. Well, overall. It probably wasn't the same coffee from a year ago. He was willing to give the benefit of the doubt on that. And so he bought a coffee (giving it only a quick inconspicuous sniff to make sure it didn't smell like what he assumed year old coffee would smell like), took a seat, and let himself enjoy the town that he liked so much before his whole galaxy went insane and made him fix it.

[OOC: If you suspect you might have gotten a message from Zayne, feel free to assume that you did. But he's here to talk to people even if they didn't get a message, so don't let that stop you. Alternately, the Perk is open for all of your coffee needs!]

The end of their first training session found Steve and Tony in the park. Steve wasn't even breathing hard, and looked like he'd really enjoyed himself.

The same could probably not be said for his teaching assistant, which was kind of like a sidekick, except not at all if you asked Steve. Who was still wondering how he'd gotten himself talked into this. "Right, so," he said, "that was a good warm-up..."

There was someone waiting at the door as soon as Jack opened the diner. Why the man needed so many sandwiches made instantly wasn't Jack's problem. Helping the kitchen staff make them while still trying to serve and keep everything clean was.
