While being late seemed to be Ariel's usual motif, today, she was switching it up a little. She had her cupcake class before work, so that didn't give her too much of an excuse about being late and not coming in right after class, but there was the fact that she'd spend all day in the store, looking at cute new fashions she could whip together to go adventuring in Alexandria in, and so she was definitely leaving early.

Could anyone really blame her? There was a whole new place out there, and SAND!

For the time being, though, she'd pass the hours she felt she should at least work to be okay on leaving early by trying on different desert-inspired fashions.

Or dessert-style, too. Cupcake class was so inspiring.

Shunsui probably wouldn't have even bothered coming in to work today, but the truth of the matter was that, if he intended to spend the evening wooing a variety of exotic and stunning Egyptian women, he'd need his beauty rest, and he happened to get the best sleep at the counter, when he was supposed to be working.

He didn't know why it worked that way, but he wasn't going to complain. He was just going to settle in for his nap and think about all the provisions he could snag from the alcohol shelf before heading out for the evening's guaranteed delights.

Two days of sunshine and careful tanning had done wonders to soothe Emma's temper, even if yesterday had been interrupted by that limpid little ginger-haired child briefly.

Tonight she'd managed to sweet-talk Tiny into making her oodles of tropical drinks - sans alcohol, sadly, but she loved the fruity flavors - to sip while checking IDs and being the prettiest bouncer/hostess on the island. Besides, she looked fantastic in her new dress, especially with her new tan and sun-kissed blonde hair. And if she abandoned her post once or twice to dance, well, telepath. She'd know if someone new arrived, or was trying to sneak in, and could terrify them promptly and properly. She didn't think Eric would mind if she had a little fun between customers.

Alice was exploring music related to the name "Alice" today. Why not? Some group had called itself Alice in Chains, and while she didn't approve of them symbolically placing her in chains, she had to admit the music itself was stirring.

Mary was pleased to see that the weather was much more like what she was used to and that her Viking admirer hadn't made the trip with the rest of the island. So she was sitting at the front desk, not worried about who might walk into the lobby. That might have been just asking for trouble...

Spock was at work at Fixer Uppers on Tuesday, working on his ongoing projects and a few new things besides. He was in a pleasant enough mood for a Vulcan, inasmuch as Vulcans had moods (which was not really), this weather being much more suited to his physiology, and was running an experiment on how the computers were affected by the temperature.

You'd think Robin would have learned. Even as nice as the weather was, and as much as summertime screamed 'put blonde in your hair!' one would think she'd have remembered the last time she'd tried to highlight her hair.

But no. And of course she couldn't get it fixed until tomorrow.

So ignore the bartender and how she had the hood of her sweatshirt up. Everything was fine, okay. And the streaks did not make her look like a tiger.
