As far as periods of his life Ender didn't want to relive went, this weekend could have been worse. Or that was the theory, at least. It had been a long time ago, and there had been wars and struggle afterwards, ten times worse than anything Peter had ever done to him.

And yet still, this weekend clung to him worse than he'd expected. Maybe it was because he'd never quite wiped Peter-the-monster from whatever place he occupied in Ender's mind; Ender didn't know.

It was foolish to linger on it, but no amount of emails helped him shake it.

He tried to distract himself by talking to Jane across the day, about anything from Shakespeare to philosophers to the work Sel Menach, Shakespeare Colony's xenobiologist, was doing.

But it didn't quite go away.

Vincent might have spent the whole weekend as a five year old hiding in his loft pigging out on Fruit Loops and Spaghettios. If he did, he certainly wasn't going to tell anyone. He was just going to hang out here, munching on asparagus drizzled with a light white wine reduction.

When Joan sauntered her way into the club, flicking on the house lights as she peeled off her gloves and adjusted her updo after unpinning her hat, she realized she had absolutely no idea where to start. Though the office was probably promising. And when she got down there and realized that first, she was alone in the building today, and secondly, Eric kept files in several languages she didn't recognize.

So Joan pulled the files out, bringing them up into the club proper so she'd have not only light but comfort to work in, and set to the task of organizing them by language. There were so many with umlauts, though. She had to guess a bit for those.

And if she was repressing the fact that there had been small people running around all weekend, and she was fairly sure her boss had been a child who'd wanted to slide for her...well. Could you blame her?

When Troy walked into the Boards Monday morning, he was already dreading what he'd see. Aaaaand he pretty much got it.

"... Please tell me we still have some of this carpet," he mused allowed, before heading downstairs to look for the scraps left from the renovations. He'd helped his Dad with a seamless carpet replacement before. Surely he could do it again.

Jake's morning had been spent trying to repair the damage his five year old self had wrought. Which went beyond the mess in his hotel room- oh, no, he'd had to call home and attempt to explain why an excitable little kid had made numerous calls to Mal's cell phone to talk to his daddy.

All in all, he needed a drink. Thank god he worked someplace where that was easy enough to take care of.

Angelica managed to feed the horses with a droid baby in one arm, but taking them out for exercise and cleaning the stables was a different matter entirely. She ended up letting them all loose in the corral and sitting on the fence where she could keep an eye on them and the active baby in the pack 'n' play.

She could've sworn the horses were snickering at her.

Jack remembered what day it was this week!

Shhh, sometimes he was just as drunk as he appeared and this could be a big deal.

He traisped into the club and was surprised to see how happy Tiny was to see him.

"Of course I'm an adult, matey," he said, looking confused. "Why?"

Tiny refused to answer.

The Devil's Nest was open, and confused.
