Fandom Fish 'n Bait - Saturday

Fandom Fish 'N Bait was open today, but it had a bit of a special going on.

Screw the fish, have a beer!

The sign was on a board outside the shop, and the owner himself was sitting in a lawn chair with a cooler full of ice cold Bud Light Limes and Coronas sitting beside him. Jon could have stayed in his apartment and done this, but that just seemed so... hermity.

And yes, that was totally a word, and not something his slightly buzzed mind had made up.

So, he was going to sit here today, drinking and watching the horizon, waiting on phone calls he knew were never going to come.

Seifer was at work. The music was blasting, full on live rock albums. He was just going to ignore the complete and utter shit going on right now, until someone pointed him at something he could kill.

For now though, you could still buy music, if you could handle the noise level.

MCA Lobby, Saturday

With a choice between going back home to try to confront whatever might be happening there, or staying in Fandom to tackle whatever bigger issues inevitably came here, Zayne felt that he had to stick with Fandom. But that meant passing time until the portals shut down so he didn't impulsively decide to change his mind or something.

And so he was going to try to get into the damn unmarked closet in the lobby. He didn't have a key for it. He hadn't been able to pick the lock or break the door down. Now seemed like a good time to use his lightsaber to cut his way in. Any time he tried to cut into the door, the lightsaber just fizzled out. It was annoying.

"I'm going to get in there eventually," he muttered.

Millie had warmed the air around herself enough magically that she could be comfortable without a coat, (though she wasn't sure she'd ever be truly comfortable without all her protective layers of skirts) and now she was waiting, (carefully posed the way the shop girl had told her, even if it did make her feel foolish) and just hoping that she didn't end up standing here alone all night.

Somehow filling in for Bo (and thus getting to make up his own drink specials) wasn't the stupid thrill it usually was for Tiny. Possibly because he'd called home this morning and nobody on the other end of the line had ever heard of Wee and Infinitesimal.

So yeah. Whatever.
