The Perk- Tuesday afternoon

Jaye was currently bored of her basement. There were times where, generally antisocial or not... Well, okay, it wasn't that she was antisocial, it was more like she hated people. Anyway, there were times where, generally people-hating or not, you had to go out and be among them or you'd lose your mind. So to speak.

The afternoon was therefore getting spent at the Perk, where Jaye got a cup of coffee and found a seat... and since she didn't bring anything to do, she was still bored. At one point she even balled up a napkin and threw it at some NPC guy's head and when he didn't play along she decided she missed Angela.


[So open, with a sliiight change of SP at the times my coworkers decide the best use of the copier is to staple papers. I swear...]

Mary was dealing with a supplier screw-up again. She'd ordered 100 down comforters, but got a delivery of 1000 goose feathers instead. Maybe there was a discount for stuffing the comforters herself, Mary thought. She was too busy to check the order, though, because the feathers had escaped their boxes and scattered all over the lobby. It was going to be a very long day.

"No," Jake told Ralph for approximately the thirteenth time in the last hour. "I absolutely do not want to see any pictures from your weekend whatsoever. I mean it," he sent the clone trooper skittering from his desk with a shooing motion.

...Seriously, how was this his life?

"How does half the island's population switching genders for a weekend generate paperwork, anyway?" he grumbled to himself as he signed off on the stack of forms. "That's messed up."

Cassidy was tired but cheerful as she moved around the book store. There was just something soothing about being around so many books, which was why she loved Tuesdays and Saturdays so much.

She made a pot of tea and then poured herself a cup as she took her place behind the counter. She wondered if Millie would be interested in selling some books from Kaeleer here in the store. She was pretty sure she could get Clayton to send her some.

Since they'd had so much fun with last week's Elvis theme for Hayley, this week the staff at Cafe Luke's put together a theme around another 60s icon - though one that was only just starting to rise to popularity in Hayley's time.

Though she had to admit, she loved that the staff was making her feel so welcome. And hey, while they weren't exactly Elvis, she happened to like the four guys that made of the theme of the daily specials. Though she didn't quite get all the references as they were from albums she'd not yet heard...

Well, it had taken a lot of squinting, a bit of rearranging, and what might have actually been a minor concussion from all the beating his skull against the filing cabinet that he'd done, but Jono was pleased to be able to post the cast and crew listing for The Petey Sci-Fi Talky Picture up on the front door of the Boards.

That accomplished, Jono sat himself down in the office and started working on paperwork. End of month something-or-others had to be finished, and then maybe he'd start working out ways to advertise their rental spaces or the recording booth downstairs for extra income.

[So, so sorry this took so long, guys. Real life hit us both, but rehearsals start this week Thursday, because it is time to get this ball rolling. Open if people want to react to their roles, or to talk to Jono, or whatever. OCD is for the weak.]

Anna was thrilled to have a job, and it wasn't like she was bothered by standing in the cold at the door all night. The only problem was that since she didn't have a watch or a great sense of time, she was a little late. She hoped this would not lead to being fired, and resolved to do better next week. At least she was safe from being eaten by the owner?

The Devil's Nest was open.
