MCA Lobby, Saturday

This was the nice part about being a couple years removed from high school. It was the day after Prom and Zayne was up bright and early without having to worry about awkwardly hanging around the dance way too late without a date or anything.

Dances weren't really Zayne's forte when it came to social gatherings, no. That's why he didn't chaperone last night. And that was probably why he didn't really remember what happened to people who weren't him the weekend after Prom. Avoid it a few years in a row and you probably figured you were safe.

Poor Zayne. He'd learn. But until he did, he was behind the counter in the lobby, clearing out some paperwork.

[OOC: For tenants, visitors, or the kid. I'm around until about noon, then afk for a few hours, then spotty the rest of the day.]

After that disturbing encounter with his and Peter's child at the radio booth which will get posted soon I swear, Topher was just going to spend the morning in the shop today, happily repressing by way of soldering things.

Look, it was the Fandom nerds' way. He was hardly the first to try it.

If anyone happened to be going through the park in the early hours of the morning, they might have seen the portal open up, just as it had in years past. And just like before, it only took a minute for weetiny children - and some not-so-weetiny children - to start spilling forth and spreading out.

Let's hope people remembered to sleep with their clothes on!

[For kids and parents and such! Happy AU kids weekend!]

If there was something odd going on around the island, Jonothon certainly wasn't aware of it just yet. After all, the pitter-patter of young (and not so young) feet was more likely to be heard throughout the dorms, and he didn't have any psi-powers informing him ever so helpfully that the population of the island had seen a bit of a spike since last night.

He was vaguely aware that there had been a dance last night. After all, it was that time of year, and all. But if it had anything to do with him in the least?

He was far more interested in the logistics of keeping the Boards running throughout the summer than about dances and all that rot, anyhow. If anyone needed him, he was in the office. Resolutely.

... Throwing wadded up paper balls for Joni to chase. Because playing with the cat totally constituted hard work. It just did.

[Open to all and sundry, but there'll be a lull in the afternoon while I do more of that seeing-a-lady-about-an-apartment thing!]

Pinkie was trotting along on a lovely weekend jaunt around the island, waving hello and offering good wishes for the day to whomever she passed. It was a gorgeous Saturday afternoon, and she wasn't one to let such a thing pass her by without getting out and about in it. Sure, the residents of Fandom were generally way less likely to burst spontaneously into song with her, but no one was perfect. . . .

[ooc: expecting one, but open, natch.]

Jon had figured out what time of year it was last night when he had seen the prom goers at the community center while out for a walk. And he was trying not to be disappointed that he hadn't received any little visitors that morning because his player is on spring break and forgot due to dealing with family drahmah OMGIT'SMYVACATIONYOUFOOLS!!!!, and so he was dealing with it in the typical O'Neill way.

He had a sign set up outside the shop and had handwavingly put up posters around town. What did they say, you ask?

2 FREE GOLDFISH TO ALL VISITORS UNDER THE AGE OF 12!
Those 12 and older get their choice.

Yes. He was THAT sort of shop keepers.

You can thank him later.

Billy thanked whatever force controlled things in Fandom for the nice weather. Ana and Tommy had been cooped up in various motel rooms for the last few days. And while Tommy didn't seem to be of an age yet to care, Ana was going stir crazy.

So he was glad to be able to take her to the park and let her run amok.

[The Playground is of course open to all your childreny needs. Ana would love to make new friends too.]

Stark had watched Glitz consume what he was charitably describing as an unhealthy amount of bacon-covered pizza not long ago. But the boy was still hungry, as was Ziya, and he'd promised them cupcakes.

And Stark, being Stark, took promises about cupcakes very seriously. He took other promises seriously as well, but those simply weren't relevant to the narrative at this time.

Now Stark and his glowy and blue alternate universe offspring were at JGOB examining the selection of baked goods. Glitz's face was pressed up against the glass of the display case.

"I want that one and that one and that one and two of that one and that one and that one and a chocolate one and a cookie and that cookie and one with sprinkles and..."

[Open. If you're tiny, it's very likely Stark will buy you a treat. If you're less tiny, it's still likely he'll buy you something. He likes to spread the joy of baked goods.]

Cafe Luke's, Saturday

Another Saturday, another walk to the cafe trying to dodge innumerable threads crisscrossing the town. At least they were more indistinct, this time, probably linking back to abstracts and/or people, and not as likely to give Zinzi a migraine.

They seemed to be connected to the innumerable kids running around town. She decided it was best not to ask.

She set Sloth up at the counter with a plate of greens and kept an eye on the door. She was not paid enough to turn this cafe into a daycare, after all.

Bo's Friday night had not involved drinking or dancing (though there was a bit of watching other people do the second and pretending she couldn't smell that they'd been doing the first unless they started being stupid about it), and her Saturday morning had not involved waking up with anyone in her bed besides a glow-in-the-dark rubber duck.

...It got caught in the towel after her bath last night, shut up.

She also hadn't been here for the last Prom.

All of which added up to a clueless, but at least un-hungover succubus behind the bar tonight, maybe a little nostalgic for a life she'd never finished, but not too unhappy with the one she had now, all told.

Which meant you got cleavage and a smile unless you were a DJ feeling the need to play the best of the freaking Eurythmics over the Devil's Nest sound system, is basically what we're saying.

Warren had decided sometime in the afternoon, once Kayla and Nommy had gotten bored with teasing their poor parents and had decided to explore the island on their own for a bit, that he needed air. And, really, what better way to get air than by getting into the air? He'd spent a few hours just soaring, taking a little while to just appreciate the sky, before coming down to rest in the park.

He and the flamingoes had a rocky history behind them, but he figured he'd probably be safe if he didn't look too closely at them. And he didn't have any coffee with him either, just in case.

[Expecting one in particular, but the park is open otherwise!]
hasadestiny: ([doing] coffee)

Given how heavily the punch and pie had been spiked by the end of the night, Lex had been pleasantly surprised to find himself hangover free this morning. Which basically made for a good morning-after to a fun, if dateless, prom-night.

Still, lack of hangover didn't mean he didn't need his morning coffee, so he quite quickly found himself at a table with a latte and the paper.

[Open for those in need of caffeine a need which may have exponentially increased when your kids showed up.]
