MCA Lobby, Wednesday

Zayne didn't usually spend weekdays over at the MCA office, but he received an alert that the office safe had been broken into. When he got into the office, he didn't see any signs of a break in until he opened the safe up to find a gremlin taking a nap.

He had no idea how the gremlin got in there or why it wanted to take a nap there (or why it looked kind of cute when it snored), but he took the time to levitate the gremlin out gently and move it out back to the alley.

After taking care of the gremlin problem, Zayne went back to the lobby and started watching out for any possible signs of a gremlin infestation. Just in case.

Demon Marcus, Wednesday

Hanna had done many things to distract herself from thinking about what happened a few weeks ago. She watched the Olympics, even though she wasn't into sports, and she redecorated her side of her dorm. When she showed up at the store, she made sure to continue making herself busy somehow, even if it meant re-shelving inventory. There was also some admiration of jewelry, which took a lot of concentration.

She couldn't help wondering how some of those would look on her. They reminded her of some of the things she stole during her shoplifting phase. Working for a demon quickly quelled any temptation to steal from this place.

Cafe Luke's, Wednesday

The kitchen staff had apparently stopped at The Perk before coming in today because they were a little too over-caffeinated. They were talking a mile a minute. Also, they were singing the praises of something called WorkJuice. It got bad enough that Lion-o finally made up an excuse to send them into the freezer, then locked the door behind them. He would let them off once the caffeine high wore off or before closing the diner for the day, whichever came first.

There wasn't really any reason Kitty had to be here, save for the fact that mostly going from home to the bar and then home got a little sad when it got repetitive. So getting some green tea thing that looked gross but actually tasted good, she set up shop on a sofa with her laptop to return some emails. The way these always worked out was that her mom heard absolutely nothing interesting, Shan's emails tended to amount to "Still weird here, but at least there are no Sentinels!" and everyone seemed fine with that.

What Kitty wasn't fine with, though, was the fact that the sofas were better for sitting, but there was never ever a comfortable way to type from one. It was the 21st century, you'd think they'd figure this out by now.
