Sparkle was a man on a mission at Demon Marcus today, humming as he rummaged through the footage from the security cameras in the store from last weekend.

Sure, it probably wasn't his place to do so. Sure, he was probably risking like some sort of fine or something just for tampering with this sort of shit, video of last weekend and all. But he wasn't looking to change anything. Not really.

He hit rewind again, watching thoughtfully as his past self sashayed around the store, a little clumsily at first, but then growing more confident on those high heels he'd borrowed, wearing that Prada like he owned it, and he shook his head a little.

"God damn I so would have hated me if I met me last weekend."

That wasn't going to stop him from rewinding and watching it over again, though. Because... screw it. Because he could.

Jaina had no idea whether it was intentional or if it was the result of faulty equipment/music, but tonight everything that the DJ played had random record scratches followed by a second of silence. It was at the point that whenever it would happen, Jaina would stop what she was doing, like something was supposed to happen in that second of silence.

So far it was a really long night.

Yes, it had taken them months to get around to a trip out for dinner that had been proposed back when they'd first arrived in Fandom, but Ulrik and Sholeh were finally making it happen.

Their restaurant of choice? El Burrito Loco.

"I hope you're okay with spicy food," Ulrik said, after picking up one of the menus, "as it apparently features quite heavily on the menu."

[ooc: for the definitely-not-a-date dinner partner, but open for all your mexican food needs. I'D TOTALLY FORGOTTEN WE HAD A MEXICAN PLACE, NGL.]

Guy had not kept any pets from before the weekend, but it appeared the zombie band had a dog. Or there was just a dog attempting to gnaw on the bassist's leg. Guy really wasn't certain if he wanted to know what the story behind that was.

Especially if it meant having to tape the bastard up to play.

Yeah, Guy was just going to to stick to the bar and pretend he saw nothing today, thanks.

So...Karla had decided to sign up for StuCo this year. Which probably meant she should...get around to campaigning or something. Except, well, she didn't really know how to do that. Running for office wasn't something she'd ever had to worry about, after all.

So, going on what little she'd learned from previous StuCo campaigns, she knew that the best way to put herself out there was to offer people free stuff. Extra points for offering free food. Which was why she was parked outside of the Perk with a tray of coffee on one side and a plateful of dubious-looking cookies on the other, and a little card that said, "Free! Help yourself! Karla for senior rep!"

She felt like there maybe should be more, like streamers and balloons or something, but she was running for StuCo, not planning a party...right?

Hmm. Maybe she should have added glitter to the sign at the very least. What if the 'free' sign wasn't eye-catchy enough?

[Open to everyone, including other folks looking to campaign! ...Avoid the cookies though.]

Natalie was surveying the town from a slightly higher vantage point than usual. Not unheard of, but she'd only been up here once before. Twice if you counted the her that hadn't really been her after all.

Yes, what had started out as a walk through town had turned into climbing onto a welcoming roof and sitting there with her feet dangling over the edge. Might as well do it while she still could – she wasn't sure she'd be feeling like climbing up here once the weather turned colder and rain became a more frequent visitor. But who knew? Maybe she would. She preferred fall over summer, and was looking forward to winter as well. It had made her feel a little more at home on the island last year. Maybe it'd work the same way this year as well.

It was too soon to tell.

She was smoking a cigarette as she watched the street below. It was that kind of a day. Contemplation and smoke.

[ooc: Open place in town is open, naturally!]
