Another day, another chance to make money. Not that she needed it -- she was still on salary with Benicio, after all -- but it was a nice opportunity to get out of her room and do something constructive... as opposed to the times she got out when she wasn't working, where she tended to get up to whatever mischief she damn well felt like it.

Today she was sitting behind the counter and working on a status update to send to her boss that was a little more substantial than "Everything's fine. Go away now." She'd sent him that one once and he hadn't been amused. It'd been just about worth it, though.

Today's Squishy flavors: Banana Blueberry, Cotton Candy, Mischief Marshmallow.

Okay, fresh start take number...a lot. Buffy had been through this enough to not be one hundred percent sure on the whole "normal" town thing, but she was on the positive side of the spectrum. The island was pretty and there were no cars allowed so nobody could complain about her poor driving here. It was a little strange to just be wandering around the street with a large suitcase in hand, but the weight of it didn't seem to be bothering her. The majority of her stuff had been sent ahead to Serendipity Place but there were some things she didn't trust to movers. Namely, her favorite shoes. Of which there was a lot.

Now where the hell was her house? Or, even better, a coffee place.

Someday Allie would learn not to poke around the app store looking for interesting games on her phone. Sadly, today was not that day.

"The hell do you mean I have to wait 30 minutes for my next life?"

Tiny was behind the bar, wisely choosing not to inform her about the wonders of in-app purchases.

Mike had had a productive day of jelly shot party prep, and he was in a pretty good mood coming into work. As evidenced by the specials board.

What? No one had told him not to advertise during work. Even if, yeah, it might be drawing paying customers away from the bar tomorrow night.

But then Mike's boss was coming to the party, so maybe it wasn't that bad.
