Fandom Post Office, January 6 (Tuesday)
Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 08:12 amNow that the holiday shopping -- and subsequent shipping -- crunch was over with, the post office had seemed abnormally quiet, and Éponine was just starting to readjust to that.
It was a good thing it wasn't nearly as busy in here as it had been last month, really, because as it was with the number of forms people started to fill out and then had to discard halfway through when they realized they'd put the wrong year on the date she was busy enough emptying out the paper recycling bins. Yes, this was partly due to the new year, but it was already a more common occurrence here than it was most post offices, what with Fandom and people coming from all over the timeline.
It was a lot of discarded forms. Why did you think the padded envelopes they sold in the lobby were the kind stuffed with recycled shredded paper instead of air bubbles?
