There was a puddle of water forming in the back room of the post office today, one that kept creeping out toward the door to the lobby until Éponine got up (or got back from a delivery run), spotted it, and with a wordless noise of exasperation went to go get the mop and get rid of it.

Again.

It was annoying, yes, but there wasn't much she could do about it; that was what happened when inclement weather conditions meant all mail coming through one particular dimension had to get rerouted through some other place that seemed to be entirely underwater.

On the bright side, she supposed, if someone came in with unsealed envelopes to mail and really didn't want to have to lick the flaps, they'd have an alternative to the moistener bottles with the little sponges on them.

It wasn't that much of a bright side, but there it was. She was trying, okay?

[OOC: There is no OCD. There has never been OCD. Open post, though!]

Kitty was finally feeling better about things than she had in weeks, and while she had been in to do administrative type work, tonight was her first night back behind the bar after vacation. It felt kind of good to be doing something normal again.

Well, relatively normal. If anyone wanted a shot, they were going to have to wait because Tino had appropriated all the shot glasses to build a castle out of them on the bar. It was kind of an impressive castle, actually.

Spoilers for The 100 1x06 )

Bellamy whipped around, expecting to see Finn behind him, ready with a lecture on being more careful but there was nothing. He was alone. Alone and in a completely different place. There weren't any trees surrounding him, no dirt beneath his boots. He still had his gun and he raised it defensively, not sure what the hell kind of trick this was.

Bellamy knew there were parts of Earth they hadn't yet explored but this was impossible. There were buildings in the distance, well kept and bright. They looked lived in. It was hotter here than it had been just a minute ago and Bellamy felt perspiration slide into his eyes.

A noise caught his attention and Bellamy turned, eyes settling on the ocean nearby. He'd heard about these on the Ark, even seen the massive blue masses from space but to be this close to one? Impossible. There was no way.

Where the hell was he?

[ Open, of course. Bellamy's on the boardwalk, confused as hell and holding a gun. Please note: he most likely won't give the gun up but he does know how to handle it and might take you as a threat at first. He's not going to shoot anyone. ]

The great thing about AI? They were more than happy to do inventory work for you while you sat back with the latest edition of People. Delta didn't mind York's laziness in this case; he always seemed to mess up his extensive system anyway.

Waking up to a message that Kaidan was in town was one of the better ways to start the day Allie thought as she took a seat on the park bench near the pond to wait for him. Of course while she waited, she was going to take the opportunity to get past the stupid Candy Crush level she was stuck on.

It'd been an... eventful two weeks. First they'd broken a bunch of ex-Cerberus scientists and their families out of the stalemate they'd been in with their former employers. Then Hackett had seen them flying around clearing Cerberus and Reaper hotspots, so tac teams could set up beachheads and recover research.

And it was... great. Exhilarating, yes, and necessary, but mostly it just felt good to be doing something again. Helping. It made the looming Reaper threat a little less paralyzing.

But that didn't mean Kaidan couldn't do with some downtime from time to time.

So when they hit the Citadel last night, he'd booked a portal - only barely getting through Portalocity's increasingly tight restrictions - and now he was sitting here, at the Perk, a cup of warm coffee in his hand and a single patch of medi-gel pasted against some scratches on his cheek. It felt nice, but also a little otherworldly: his own Earth had been like this just a year ago.

Now...

He took a sip of his coffee. He wasn't here to dwell, damn it.

... but he'd still dwell a little. He couldn't help it.
