There was no note from Nathan about biting flowers this week, so Peter hoped his little speech to them had helped.

"Thank you," he said to the group. He paused to untangle two of the...kittens' maw?...plants that had apparently wrestled with each other a bit too vigorously. "I appreciate it. Tell you all what - there's a new fertilizer that's supposed to be even better, so I'll put in an order, okay?"

He shook his head to himself as he headed back to place the order. This was what his life had come to - bribing plants for good behavior.

The Perk, Wednesday afternoon

Eliot could not for the life of him tell you how he'd ended up wearing a cowboy hat and bolo tie when he and Val stopped in at the Perk for a mid-afternoon treat. It was more than a little disconcerting, he didn't mind telling you, especially since the last time he'd involuntarily worn something like this he'd been dropped into a weird wild west computer simulation.

Judging by the way the baristas were giggling at him from behind the counter, though, this seemed more benign than that. So he just resigned himself to being just a little extra country just now and placed his order.

Could be worse. He could be a wolverine. Or a woman. Or having an uncontrollable urge to call everyone "cocksucker".

This island, man.

Kenzi was pestering her bestie via phone. As ya do.

"So, I'll get the staff to make anything you want, come on in. Tear yourself away from the Chair of Relaxation. And your proximity to the janitorial staff. You guys are good with me sacrificing you on the altar of Bo, right?"

Reactions were mixed, but some of them might have sounded okay with that.
