So, that was a hat stuck to Kanan's head today. And another one stuck to Stance's, at that. Because of course it was. He couldn't just be out doing swordwork in more sugar or anything, right?

Though, he supposed, he did prefer a stupid hat over the smell of burned caramel that had been prevalent last Friday while he had his lightsaber ignited. Today his game plan was a bit of the same, just running through lightsaber forms while he waited for his student to arrive, his dog making a game of trying to snatch more red hats off of the ducks.

"One of these days, they're all going to gang up on you, buddy," Kanan called after him, but continued doing his forms. Stance knew not to hurt them, and the ducks were, for the most part, getting used to him being a pain in their tailfeathers every week.

Like just about everyone else who'd woken up with a santa hat today, Liam had of course attempted to take it off. When another one appeared in its place, he just resigned himself to the fact that he was apparently accessorizing today and headed in to the station.

... Where only about half the Troopers seemed to be sporting santa hats themselves. Huh.

"How come some of them aren't wearing hats?" he asked Ralph. Who was, for the record, wearing a hat. Over his helmet.

"Oh, they are." And helmet or not, Liam could hear that eyeroll. "They just put the helmets on over them, and then proceeded to complain about how stuffy it is. Tried telling 'em if they put a hat on over the helmet, the one inside'll disappear, but," he shrugged. "Whatever. Not my problem."

Quark's, Friday

There were several dozen santa hats already covering the ground as Quark flung down another one.

Ineffectively, of course. Another immediately appeared on his head.

"AAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHH!" he shrieked, jumping around in a circle and flailing his arms in the general vicinity of his head. "Get it off get it off get it off!"

"That's forty-nine," one of the dabo girls said. "Pay up."

The bouncer sighed and handed her a wad of cash. "I thought for sure he'd pass out by hat number 48."

"C'mon, fifty-two!"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!"

"This island is so stupid," Dante muttered.

There was just no way to slouch with effortless cool when you had a Santa hat on your head.

In the end, there was only one thing he could do: take his shirt off. Sure, it was cold, but he ran warmer than humans anyway; he'd live. And so would his cool. He kicked back in his seat with a guitar, looking satisfied with himself.
