Beau had had an interesting enough weekend, that was for sure, but given that it had involved picking a fight with a gremlin and spending most of yesterday trying to roll a ping-pong ball around her apartment because she was under the impression that random objects would stick to it and it would get increasingly larger, she wasn't really going to talk about it.

Which, to be fair, was her standard approach to a lot of things, but anyway.

The gym appeared to be fairly normal today, which at first glance seemed like a relief, but . . . well, Beau was going to be eyeing the place suspiciously all day today unless something weird really did happen, in which case it'd be a relief.

Whatever, she'd be doing some upper-body work in her downtime today.

It seemed to be becoming tradition that before she left to go home, Jaina headed to the Perk in the time between checking out if the hotel and getting to her portal. And now that she was her real damn height and could drink coffee without drowning, she was taking advantage of it, and sending a text to her grandfather: Getting coffee, there's something I want to ask you about. Yes I'm normal sized, shut up.

And maybe checking her comm to see if Jag had left any messages. He hadn't, but he'd gotten evidence that she'd been... indisposed, and he'd be kind enough to leave her to it right up until she got home. She sort of rathered he'd just tease from afar sometimes.

"What do you mean," asked Rosa, regretting sparing even a fraction of her attention toward the conversation going on between the troopers that day, "everyone was tiny?"

And so they explained to her the events of the weekend, to an expression that got increasingly annoyed the more they mentioned it because of how ridiculous it sounded, especially since she had not experienced any of it, and it wasn't that she didn't believe them, she did, it was more just a general irritation over the concept being really, really stupid, but at least, apparently, she hadn't had to deal with it.

"You mean you didn't even know?" asked Ralph, a little envious that apparently Rosa had managed to stay regular sized and avoid the whole experience all together. "What were you even doing all weekend?"

And she shrugged, and answered, not that it was any of his business, of course, but if it got him to leave her alone, sure, whatever. "Just stayed home and watched movies with my dog," she said. "It was great."

Okay, so maybe she told him because now she could be all smug over the fact that, clearly, being anti-social and not dealing with people had worked in her favor yet again. Though now she was a little curious about who had been hit by it, but, hey, that's what radio reports were for, right?

"Don't give me that look," Summer said, hands on her hips as she caught the disapproving shake of Apu's head as she set out today's jello special, right on the usual spot next to the register under the clear glass cloche on a display. "I'd like to see you try to make jello when you're four inches tall."

Apu shrugged it off and went back to sweeping the aisles, but Summer narrowed her eyes at his back, having a pretty good feeling that he was probably thinking of how to make himself four inches tall just to turn around, make some jello, and prove her wrong. And she was willing to let him, because it was one thing when the island turned you smoll, but she knew first-hand that it was all sorts of trouble when you tried to modify your size all on your own.

Peter sighed and lightly smacked the video player.

He was totally blaming Amaya for the fact that it wasn't behaving this week.

"Well, I had something else planned, but apparently we're watching something thematic today," he said. "I hope nobody had a really hard weekend. There's popcorn and drinks as usual."

He waved them all at the snacks.

"Enjoy."

Tiny had been watching too many episodes of Chopped. So now Verity's night was devoted to choosing several mixers at once and seeing if Tiny could make a decent cocktail out of it, using the poor DJ as a guinea pig to test them out.

"I really think I got this one!" Tiny said, excitedly, giving his glass three precise strokes. "I really have a good feeling about--"

The glass started gave off a bright green glow for a moment before fading away. Verity looked at it with horror, remembering the tremens and-- "Nope," she said, slapping the glass out of his hands. It shattered on the floor, the drink spattering everywhere. "You go clean that up and forget whatever cocktail you just think you made."

The post office was covered in polka dots today. The stanchion ropes for the lobby lines, the packaging tape, the scales, even the packaging materials available for purchase -- if it was an inanimate object that wasn't already addressed to someone, it had polka dots on it.

Éponine didn't seem to mind. As silly post office happenings went, it was fairly benign and besides, she thought the lobby lines looked a bit nicer this way.

There was a sign in the window, however: All packaging material 50% off, today only!

[OOC: Apparently Polka Dot Day is a thing. Post office and post are open!]
