Covent Garden Flowers; Tuesday [03/12].

Astrid decided she was going to take it pretty easy at the flower shop today. Granted, she sort of took it easy most days at the flower shop; an expempliary work ethic wasn't exactly one of the things she was known for. But she did help take care of a few orders (flowers for St. Patrick's Day? Sure, okay. Apparently, it was a thing for at least a few people, but she shouldn't be surprised by anything around here), and spent the rest of her time with a sketchbook and playing around with some watercolors.

Nothing exciting. Nothing weird. Just...a super lack of inspiration day. Which, honestly, was always kind of nice to have.

Caritas- Tuesday

It always took a couple days to adjust to the time change, and that was before there was a tiny person who wasn't fantastic about sleeping through the night.

Kitty has a very large coffee with her at the bar today. Tiny seemed to be timing how fast she drank it, and the only reason she wasn't chugging it was to throw him off.

The Magic Box, Tuesday

Okay, so the Magic Box still smelled a bit like a banana split. Norman was okay with that. Really.

And the cerberus now had one banana-shaped yellow spot on his butt, and a good dozen smaller, strawberry-shaped red spots around his shoulders.

Also good, that was fine. Strawberry-banana was way better a smell than three-headed dog, anyway.

But he was absolutely drawing the line today when he stepped into the shop to find that a couple of the magic books were trying to put together some kind of blueberry concoction. No. Nope. He was having none of it. The ingredients were being carefully separated and the books were grounded to the bookshelves for the rest of the day.

The Beach - Tuesday morning

It was a nice day. Well above freezing, no snow or rain in the forecast. Fenris decided to go for a walk down the beach, near the docks. Every so often, he checked to see if there were actual boats at the dock.

No reason. Certainly he didn't have plans to.. borrow.. one. Today, like every other day he'd checked, the docks were empty and the beach was..

Wait, no. This was definitely not like every other day. Thousands of scallops had washed up on the beach, steaming and opened. The air was perfumed with the scent of baked mollusk.

Fenris nearly gagged.

Still, it wasn't rotting seafood. This was definitely a 'you are supposed to eat these' scent. Not that he'd be eating any of them. He didn't like seafood of any sort. After a moment of observation, it looked like they'd washed up and the rocks of the beach had heated under them, baking them in their shells. A quick check of the pebbles showed them to now be warm but not hot.

Facepalming a little, Fenris dug a nylon shopping bag out of his pouch and shook it open. He began plucking choice scallops from the rocks and depositing them into the bag.

A certain roommate of his loved seafood and it was his class day. The class that regularly gave him a headache. Fenris could bring him a surprise lunch.
