Last week had actually not been too much of a disaster. Sure, Sweet Dee biffed her own routine, she sort of had no idea what Norman was doing, and Astrid was categorically unfunny and god she hated her face so much!, but people had actually come in to watch (sort of), so that was good. Plus, giving them the week off for it meant she hadn't had to be up for her stupid-early class the day after daylight savings time.

Which meant Sweet Dee was actually in a great mood for her bar shift; she might not even be too terrible that evening. Up until the point where she'd go on stage again, anyway, because she wanted this open mic thing to get some traction and not just be a one time thing for her class, and if she didn't get the ball rolling, who would? It was good to have the practice, too.

She clearly needed it, though if years and years of trying to do this nearly every night hadn't helped by now, it was probably a lost cause. She was, however, if anything, determined. About this. Which might actually make 'delusional' a better choice of words.

Ah, finally, Pick Your Poison had a new shipment of fresh stock again. Just in time, too. If Sparkle had come in to another week of empty shelves almost a whole month after Valentine's, he would have just locked the door and taken the day off, instead.

And so that was what he was doing. Putting out body washes and bath bombs and shampoos and teas...

And quietly disposing of the most obvious of the packaging from where they had come from in the first place. No Lush or DavidsTea to see here, move along...

Eh. Sparkle had no shame.

Fjord was in a pretty good mood today as he came in for class. His students hadn't rounded on and murdered a wounded metallic dragon and two homeless kobolds yesterday, which he'd halfway been expecting to see happen. And Monday's test run of Amaya's giant shuriken had gone better than expected, too.

... With the exception of a few moments spent on the flats of their backs, but hell, even that hadn't been terrible.

And that was why he was giving the large shuriken a grin as he made his way in to the foundry today. Maybe he was the tiniest bit proud that he hadn't completely biffed it. And it gave him that much more incentive to get back to working on the regular sized ones, keeping a careful eye out for quality as he went.

Jack rocked on in and Tiny automatically threw her the keys so she could to take stock. She squinted at the stock once she saw it. "Tiny," she bellowed, "The beer's gone off. It's all fuckin' green!" Tiny, for his part, grimaced. "It's for St. Patrick's Day, which is on a Sunday this year. People start ordering it the entire week before."

Jack grimaced right back at him as she put the slip in the bar. "Another theme night?" Tiny nodded. "There's a whole 'pinch if you're not wearing green' thing and the ladies like it."

Jack eyed him. Balefully. Very balefully.

"Gives 'em an excuse to punch people in a bar where they don't end up in the duck pond," he smirked. Jack nodded and relaxed her look a little. That made sense.

She parked her ass behind the bar and waited for the DJ to show up. This one seemed to be professional and had a good playlist. Jack was almost disappointed.
