Caritas; Wednesday [05/08].

So, this weekend, Summer was going ship-shopping, and even though she'd saved up a lot of money for that express purpose, a big purchase like that was gonna hurt. And then there'd be the cost of parts. The time to fix it up. The cost of maintenence. All while also saving money to actually pay for her retail space once she finally did get off to space to hawk jello on unsuspecting aliens for the benefit of reaping information to support a rebel uprising. Which was a way cooler context to put it in, really. She said she was going into space to sell jello, but if you got right down to it, she was totally going to space to be a goddamn spy, and that was badass.

But also expensive.

But, hey, she knew that the new bartender that had been working on Wednesday had totally crapped out, leaving an open space in employment at a job that would be supercool, although she really wasn't expecting she'd puck up a lot extra in tips on a freaking Wednesday. Still, bartender was going to look great on a resume (it worked great for AOC!), it would be a lot of fun, and she'd still get to work on some jello creations, only this time even better, because booze.

She was a pretty quick study on a lot of the deets, too, as Tino sort of showed her the basics and she got comfortable around the bar. And, not expecting a whole slew of people (although maybe? With the newbs on the island, they might want to check it out?), she spent about half of her time learning and the other half leaning on the bar a little and falling into a stimulant-related wormhole as she flipped through her holo-pedia.

Blackstone Foundry and Forge, Wednesday

So, it had been a couple of weeks since the last time Fjord had been in to the forge, though he didn't figure he could be blamed much for that, all things considered. Last week had involved vampires... not-quite-vampires...

It had been a weird week. And so he was looking forward to jumping right in today to work on the rapier that had been really quite ignored for the last about-that-long, setting right to work on getting the heat in the forge just so. It felt like a good day for it, and he was grinning to himself as he worked the bellows.

Productive busy work was the best kind.

Pick Your Poison, Wednesday

Sparkle was kind of humming to himself as he settled in for a day at work. It was nice to not have to look after the running of the place anymore, even if he hadn't actually seen Iris since she'd gotten back (and hey, for all he knew, the LUSH fairies had managed to get their hands on her recipes or something), and spending a day sitting behind the counter, just contemplating soap seemed right about his speed.

Hopefully Iris (or the LUSH fairies, whichever) wouldn't mind that he'd skipped work last week. He'd been a vampire before. Twice. He really had no interest in repeating the experience.
