The Beach, Late Wednesday Evening
Thursday, September 26th, 2019 12:09 amOctavia's detour to the Devil's Nest had turned out much better than expected.
But ultimately, she'd still ended up slipping away into the night. She'd gone home, grabbed a few of the beers she'd bought earlier in the day, along with an extra layer to wear under her leather jacket, and then she'd gone back out again, heading to the beach. It was dark, but she didn't mind. She could light her way with her flashlight, though that was mostly just so she didn't trip on anything.
Because she knew the way.
And so there she was. Sitting on the sand with a beer in hand, the flashlight on the ground next to her as if it was providing the idea of a fire because putting together an actual one wasn't something she'd felt like doing.
Occasionally, she threw small rocks into the water. She'd seen someone do stone-skipping once or twice, but she wasn't really even trying to learn that, at least not right now. She was just enjoying the splashing sound it made when the stones broke through the water's surface.
Other than that, it was quiet.
And the restless feeling was finally starting to slowly fade a little bit.
[ooc: Open beach is open, Octavia available with an eventual SP warning as it is about midnight my time!]
