The fun of random water balloon attacks from nowhere was that Rey couldn't predict them, even with better senses and reflexes. And she didn't even mind it so much in principle when it was hot, but one minute she'd be minding her business and the next there'd be a water balloon hitting the back of her head, and that she had a problem with.

If there were any annoyed yelps coming from the warehouse, that'd be why.

"No," Liam was saying over the phone. "We haven't caught who's responsible. Because no one's responsible. It's just the island being the island. It'll all be over by tomorrow." At which point something else ridiculous would be going on in its stead, not that Liam knew that.

(Though given the past couple days he wouldn't be surprised at yet another day of Fandom whimsy)

No sooner had he hung up the phone than it rang again.

"No, she hasn't mobilized her 'army of bees' to throw water balloons at you."

It was gonna be a day.

The streets of Fandom, Friday afternoon

Duke was just walking down the street, minding his own business, and he got smacked in the back of his head by a water balloon.

"Hey!" He spun around, looking for who threw it. "What the hell?!"

And got another water balloon, this time to the face.

"Swear to god, if this is the woodchucks --"

Water balloons came at him from every direction, leaving him absolutely drenched.

"I really hate this town sometimes."

Was anyone in the mood for piano jazz? Because Lucifer was certainly in the mood for jazz piano.

The lights had been dimmed somewhat to make for the right atmosphere, and the axe range was currently home to some truly gargantuan potted plants. Lucifer's jacket laid on top of his piano; Lucifer himself was at the keys.

Yes. Definitely a jazz day.
