Covent Garden Flowers; Tuesday [09/29].
Tuesday, September 29th, 2020 06:35 amAstrid had sort of been feeling like she was holding her breath all weekend, even with the reassurance she'd gotten from her current case worker that Ingrid showing up would be next to impossible. 'Next to impossible' wasn't any sort of guarantee, though, especially not in a place like this, so she'd kept herself mostly in her room, working on some watercolors, as if putting herself out there would have been equal to opening herself up to fate and bad luck.
But by Tuesday, things felt pretty safe, and she could breathe again, which was nice, because all the flowers today decided to smell comfortingly of vanilla and cinnamon and apple cider, which was why a lot of the floral arrangements coming from Astrid's hands that day were distinctly autumnal in appearance, and she started to wonder if maybe she should think about selling some of her clothes from Claire so she could have a little more money to afford something a little more appropriate for East Coast winters than her current wardrobe would support.
Covent Garden is open!
