Homecoming Brunch, The Park, Sunday Morning

So, the thunder and lightning were making the park a little more appropriately gothic this morning, but once it became apparent that it wasn't actually going to rain, everything finished getting set up for brunch. The tables were all lined in black, and there was still plenty of Halloweenish glitter everywhere, in case you hadn't gotten covered in enough already. The candles were actually sort of helpful, since the weather didn't want to be particularly nice. Come and get some food!

The really annoying part about this whole powers thing was that Rey kept trying. Like if she could focus enough, this time she really could bring that tool to her hand from across the room. Every time she was disappointed when it didn't work, and then five minutes later she'd do it again, just in case.

Meanwhile the gremlin would walk over in its giant mecha suit and hand her the tool which she knew was supposed to be helpful but was privately a little bit insulting.

Maeve had only been planning to stay at the dance for a little while last night, and then once the punch was spiked, she stayed for the free booze. Which meant that today she was working with a headache, which the thunder and lightning was not helping.

The staff at least seemed to have leaned into the theme, though.

Outside JGoB, Sunday Afternoon

This place smelled amazing. Octavia had to get in there. In fact, she'd already tried just sauntering in on her tiny raccoon feet, but had been rudely rebuffed and escorted back outside. With a broom.

She could tell, though, that the humans coming out of the place - with no interaction with a broom - were first going in with little shiny things in their hands. Shiny thing went in, the good-smelling things came out.

So, she was very meticulously, one by one, bringing a small pile of shiny things right outside the bakery. Loose change, candy wrappers, random little screws from the junkyard. They were great shiny things! She should get the delicious things in return!

So far, it did not seem to be working.

Devil's Nest | Sunday Evening

After spending some time on the internet Silver had a vague idea of what a cowboy was. He didn't think much of the ones that spent a lot of time farming but the ones that gambled and stole stuff, that he understood. Sort of like land pirates, weren't they?

He was spending his time behind the bar learning about the history of Deadwood. Just wait until he watched the show then he'd be really into it.
