"It's been two," years, "months, you're really holding a grudge, aren't you?"
Seivarden snorted as the barista glared at her.
"All I want is loose leaf tea, the best quality you have, preferably prepared wearing gloves. Considering the strange mixed coffee drinks most people order here you can't claim that's hard."
Silently the barista began to prepare the tea. Seivarden waited, not letting her discomfort show. Yes, they were useless, but ignoring the insult would have been the proper way to deal with it, and she had failed that. She was back where she started, wasn't she? What had Breq been thinking? She had been doing well, mostly, she had had a place and a purpose, and now she was here again, it had felt different but it wasn't really, was it?
"Aatr's tits," she muttered, not even sure what she was cursing for, and picked up her tea and headed towards a table by the window.
