Oh, god, Faye was going to have to actually do work today.

Or at least, it sure seemed like it, given that they'd received a shipment of bouncy balls instead of ammo.

...unless they were ammo. Faye wasn't arrogant enough to claim she knew every kind of ammo in the multiverse. (Okay, well, she'd claim it, but she knew that wasn't true.)

In any case, she was spending the day at least putting the many, many, many boxes in the back, where they seemed unlikely to either get in the way or be used, and that was probably for the best.

Groovy Tunes; Tuesday [01/05].

Even though previous attempts hadn't garnered much response, and there really wasn't a very large influx of new people on the island with the new semester, Tisarwat figured it wouldn't hurt to put a particular sign up in the window at Groovy Tunes. There wasn't a whole lot to manage at the store, especially since it was mostly quiet, most of the time, but there would be nothing wrong with a little extra help around here, especially since she wasn't extacly going to be in the building pretty much all the time now that she'd moved out of the basement apartment.

With that done, Tisarwat went about the usual tasks of counting inventory and processing new shipments, with maybe a little break here and there for either tea or piano practice.

After a month of Christmas stuff and then the party, Kitty was relieved to have a day where she could just relax at work.

This lasted about five minutes before she was back to, "Well this is boring."

And this, kids, is the story of why Tino was now trying to stack glasses on the bartop while Kitty cringed. For entertainment.

Covent Garden Flowers; Tuesday [01/05].

Astrid had a very good feeling that her class before her shift at the flower shop was going to be very good for her artwork.

For her actual work at the flower shop? Maybe not so much, as she was definitely spending most of her time bent over her sketchbook behind a curtain of her hair.

She wasn't too worried about it. What sort of floral arrangements would be in such high demand for January, anyway? What was there in January? Martin Luther King Jr. Day?

...actually, around here, she might not actually be that surprised.

Pixie Dust | Tuesday

Her bunny was here today, along with Mr. Bubbles, and they had an assortment of cupcakes to eat and, possibly, share with customers. There was also tea, since Alluka always had tea on hand, and other than soft classical music, she wasn't really worried about it.

She eyed the holiday decorations thoughtfully.

"Do you think there's guidelines on when they're supposed to come down?" she wondered. Mr. Bubbles was of the opinion they should have come down already while her bunny wanted to know why anyone would take such pretty things down before the end of January.

Since there was no consensus to be had, they looked at a calendar together.

"How about on the eighteenth?" she suggested. "It's the closest we can get to a fifteenth unless we want to open the shop that day just to take decorations down."

And that seemed kind of silly.

Neither of her toys were happy which meant that it was the perfect compromise.

"The eighteenth it is!" She clapped her hands, spun in her dress and got to work sorting through the deliveries they'd gotten over the holidays.

If there was one thing that Jessica did routinely it was listen to the radio. Same time. Same show. Monday through Friday.

If asked, Jessica would just say she liked the programming which was far from the truth. There were many days Jess missed talking or seeing Trish.

Listening to "Trish Talk" everyday made the distance between them feel less somehow.

It was certainly more interesting than doing follow up paperwork on missing bees.

Today's song choices had less to do with Lucifer's mood and more with his realization that he had been going a bit hard on the early-to-mid-20th century stuff of late. So... instrumental versions of recent pop tunes, it was.

(Only the less insipid ones, mind you. He didn't hate himself that much.)

He had a glass of scotch sitting on the piano, and he was, well. Would have been pensive, were it not for giving his fingers something to do.
