Coming in almost immediately after radio, Astrid would work until she would, fittingly, 'disappear' for one of her classes, and then return to finish up the afternoon, and she'd been here long enough to know that, as far as signage went, she'd be at the tail end of some interesting additions, and that meant she'd just contribute her own addition to it. Although she felt her addition didn't quite have the same draw as the other two might have had:

And, with that, Astrid settled behind the counter to try and sketch out and paint a few more postcards, mostly of various scenic spots and buildings from around the island, to keep her occupied between customers.

Covent Garden Flowers, Friday (1/8)

Not that she planned to say so out loud to anyone, but Yasha really enjoyed her job -- or at least all the parts of it that didn't involve dealing with people. That was an unfortunate necessity, and she was resigned to it, but honestly? Most days, the rest of it more than made up for the anxiety-inducing part where she had to talk to people sometimes. She enjoyed the aroma of the tea that she brewed in the morning, the books she had a chance to read when things were slow, and of course the flowers -- all the color and fragrance and variety of them.

Being able to spend a good amount of her time working on floral arrangements was a huge plus, too, and more of a healing influence on her than she was probably even aware of: it absolutely floored her that for maybe the first time ever she was expected, even encouraged, to devote her energy and attention to creating something instead of being a destructive force -- not that she could quite put that into words, but she was aware of it on some subconscious level -- and she was grateful for that.

So she was especially engrossed in that aspect of her job today; she was confident enough in her abilities after a year here to get fairly elaborate with her designs, and as focused as she was on them she nearly missed several phone calls. Good thing that at her size, she could cover the ground between her seat and the phone in a couple of strides.

Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

You know one thing Rey loved and didn't get nearly enough time with? The rock wall on the training course. It was toward the end, so something that she didn't get to as often if she screwed up before then, and if someone came in she typically ended up skipping it.

So once she got here, she ran the course, and then was spending some time working muscles that didn't get used as much these days on the wall. Making your own fun was really one of the benefits of showing up early.

Trooper Station, Friday

Somedays there were days when literally nothing happened.

Not a call from the Bee Lady. Not the raccoons getting into a scuffle for trying to intercept a delivery for Caritas or the Devils Nest. Not Ralph or Calvin deciding to play The Floor Is Lava.

Just... the station cat on his lap, purring away, and not much else to do.

[ooc: It's post budget-approval day at work, which means barring any curveballs it'll be quiet. So, so open.]

JGoB, Friday morning

Stark had been feeling restless this morning and as a result had gone for a long, meandering walk through the town before finally ending up at the bakery. He'd been outside longer than he realized and was grateful for the warmth inside JGoB by the time he made his way inside.

He had a cup of tea and an open box full of still-warm chocolate ginger cookies on the table in front of him. The tea was going mostly ignored after his fingers had warmed up from holding it but the cookies were, as promised by bakery staff, delicious.

Cait Sith eyed the board as he came in. "Pure? Ye hink that's gonnae help yer cause at aw? Ur 'at it will wark?"

Tino pointed out that it was, in fact, Cait's job to make drinks for people.

"Nae, nae, nae!" he scoffed. "Dornt be riddy!"

Cait's first order of business—well, second, since he counted the first as showing up--was to fix the special's board:

Lucifer was still mulling over a bit of his conversation with Linda from earlier that day when he finally made it down to the club. As such, he didn't immediately climb behind the piano, though he was planning to knock out some symphonic metal later on.

It felt like a symphonic metal sort of night.

Instead he wandered towards Tiny and started peppering him with questions about his love life.
