Turtle & Canary; Wednesday [02/10].

Things were, for the most part, pretty quiet around Turtle & Canary that day, which suited (ha) Shunsui just fine, as the most eventful thing going on seemed to be the occasional bit of luggage showing up and presenting itself with a very clear emotional intention.

And, because he'd spent centuries ignoring the very things these suitcases tried to to remind him of, from Abuse and Abandonment to Avoidig Genuine Connections and Self-Loathing, he had no problem ignoring any of them now that they were printed neat on various suitcases and bags and trunks.

It also helped that he could focus on others that had shown up, that were clearly not his.

"Apu~san~~ ♥," he sang, dangling a briefcase with 'Workaholic' stamped across it from his fingers. "I believe this one is yo~oours~~ ♥."

But when they opened it up and saw there was a smaller back with 'Anger Management Issues' inside, they thought maybe it was the Cheese Panda's, but when they opened that up and saw that it was pink inside with 'Unwanted' an awkward silence fell over them as they couldn't help wonder if maybe some of Summer-chan's had made it over here, too.

Although, technically, it could also very much still be the Cheese Panda's...

You know what? Okay, sure, so Summer's apartment was literally stuffed with all kinds of suitcases and luggage and whatever that seemed to be super big on calling out her myriad of emotional baggage, and don't think she didn't see what you did there, luggage, real cute, really. But at least she could say that all of those bags were really cute to the point where she almost thought about wishing she could keep some of it if it weren't for the damning things splayed across all of them.

Thankfully, they stayed mostly out of the kitchen so she could still make her shots for tonight, although she did have to move around a few duffel bags with 'Constant Need for Validation' and 'Latches on to Every Modicum of Approval' of the way to for that.

But anyway, unless this was some sort of weird personal phenomenon, Summer was pretty sure there be at least a few luggage-related drives to drink tonight, so she was glad to throw herself into the work at the bar and just not think about it!

So, there was a luggage thing happening and Danny could happily have passed on it. But then again, he said that about every weird thing that happened on this island.

He was just going to work on Steve's incident report with the Bee Lady and ignore the little matching set that started with 'Failed' with a linked little group of 'Marriage', 'Brother', and 'Father' on there. Which was gonna be a whole thing in therapy this weekend.

Duke sat sprawled on his chair behind the teacher's desk at the front of the class, a glass of amber-colored liquid in one hand, staring broodily contemplatively into the middle distance. For several minutes after class was meant to start.

He finally shifted, pointing with the hand holding the glass at the large, old fashioned carpet bag sitting on the edge of the desk. It boasted large, bold, easily read letters on the side: blood-driven heritable serial killer curse.

"What," he said, "the fuck am I supposed to do with that?"

The Park, Wednesday Noon

Most people who were confronted by suitcases of their many, many issues popping up all over the place would probably want to avoid crowds. And you know what? There had been a fifty-fifty chance of Lucifer locking himself up in the house with the bag that read Fratricide and the particularly large brown suitcase marked Unworthy of Love.

Unfortunately, his defiant streak had kicked in instead.

"Abso," he said, and kicked the suitcase down the path.

"Lutely," he said, and punted the suitcase across the grass.

"Not," he concluded, and hurled 'Self-Loathing' into the pond.

His eyes were a bit manic as he twisted around and looked at the massive pile sitting on the path. "Right!" he called. "Who's next?! Come on! Any takers?! Anyone feeling particularly tormenty and in need of a reality check at the end of my foot?"

... yeah, he was having a moment.
