Weekends like last weekend tended to pass Astrid by, which wasn't really all that surprising. Considering her own childhood and her own mother, having children of her own was not exactly something Astrid would ever imagine wanting, no matter what the dimension. The week before it and prom had served as a nice distraction, though (yes, nice; frustrating, but she'd take it, it was nice to sometimes have a reminder of powerful emotions again), and a distraction had been needed.
Susan still hadn't called her back. It had been a few weeks, and Astrid expected there would be some sort of delay, because Susan would think of this as all a game and that keeping Astrid waiting somehow gave her more power in that game. And she might be on to something. It made Astrid go into this week feeling a little anxious and trying hard not to constantly be checking her phone.
Instead, she tried to focus on tending to the flowers at the shop, particularly because there seemed a sudden abudance of fucshia all over the shop, which suited her just fine. Fucshia had a really interesting design that would translate well into some sketches, and the color was pleasant, and their shape uniquely intriguing, and it was a good challenge to figure out a way to encorperate it any arrangements she might need to work on that day.
