It was pretty quiet in the flower shop that day, both in terms of orders and the flowers themselves. If anything, the violets in particular seemed a bit shy. But that suited Astrid nicely; she was kind of in a quiet mood, and had brought a book along to read that she was going to make quick progress through if the quiet kept up, idly remembering a time when she'd first arrived here, was it two summers ago? With a recommended reading list from her mother who thought that, without her guiding hand, Astrid's education was about to be completely worthless trash and required supplimental support.

She wondered if that list was still buried somewhere amongst all the sketchbooks and letters that hadn't been turned into ash and smeared across the wall in paint. Maybe she should try and dig it up again, and see what sort of progress still needed to be made on it.

Or at least get a sardonic kick out of how completely pretentious and full-of-itself the whole list was.

Tisarwat had been thinking that, now that she had a regular steady employee, if she were to plan for a little trip to the Radch for a few days, or even a week, that the store would be fine, especially if that whole time-disparity thing occurred where she was actually back home for longer than the time that had passed back here in Fandom.

Considering, though, that Tisarwat was still trying to dismantle the contraption that Troy had put up last week, she was starting to have major doubts about the efficiacy of that plan.

She might have to just ask Summer to keep an eye on things while she was gone, instead.

Seriously, all this? Apparently just to switch tracks on the stereo? She did not understand how Earthlings thought about stuff like this at all.

Groovy Tunes is open!

It was a perfectly normal shift at Caritas today, aside from when the pizza arrived.

"Oh no, did they make a mistake again?" Kitty asked while Tino signed for it.

There had not been a mistake. This was just Tino's dinner that he ordered at the bar. To eat right out in the open. And he wasn't sharing.

"This might be the most diabolical thing you've ever done," she told him.

"Tiny, what on Earth is that racket?"

Lucifer stormed into the club right around opening time, barged past Tiny, and pushed his way into the DJ area. "Eiffel 65?! What are we, a mid-90s European dance club? Are we expecting a mob full of track suit wearing hooligans any time so--"

As was only right, Tiny tuned him out, and continued writing the specials down on the board.
