There was, it would seem, such a thing as an uncomfortable amount of bananas.

It wasn't anything Shunsui would have ever considered, or even speculated on being a thing, until he was right in the middle of it, and that was precisely what was going on today, as there were pretty much bananas everywhere.

Bananas in the meat freezer. Bananas on the counter. Bananas in among the decorative soaps and bananas with the greeting cards. Bananas in small piles by the door, bananas making pathways to the counter and Squishy machines.

At one point, Shunsui had taken off his hat and, when he went to put it back on, was treated with bananas over his head from the bananas that had appeared inside his hat in that brief moment.

So, yeah, there was definitely such a thing as an uncomfortable amount of bananas, and they were living it on that day, and it was very clear that Apu-san had taken National Banana Day just a bit too far.

He supposed it could be worse. It could be something much squishier or unpalatable.

So of course Summer had celebrated yesterday's very important and totally national holiday (look, if Apu could lose his shit over bananas, she should be allowed at least one totally made-up holiday to get way too into for herself, right?), which meant pretty much getting blazed out of her mind with her cat, as was tradition, and while she was in that state of mind, she was apparently pretty inspired, because she got up the next day to find her fridge already filled with jello shots for her shift that evening and they were...

...well...

We'll say thematic.

She almost thought about tossing the whole lot because why ohgod, but then she figured it wouldn't hurt to at least bring them in and see what reactions they got and who might actually be willing to try them. And she had enough time to whip up at least a few more normal ones, too.

There were a lot of peanuts at the club tonight, specifically behind the bar. Just, bags and bags of peanuts. Some had even replaced bottles on the shelves, though as far as Octavia could tell, nothing particularly popular.

She was yet to notice the stealthier switches that had happened.
