Rosa had said she had to work that Monday to get out of a Memorial Day thing with her family.

Rosa had no work to do that Monday.

Not unless you counted sitting back with your boots on your desk drinking coffee and looking smug to be work.

(She did. It counted. Especially when you were this good at doing it).

Sakaki wasn't sure if the large shipment of pet costumes that showed up was a mistake or not, but she figured, so long as the vet didn't say anything about it, they'd best make the most of it and see firsthand how well they fit by having some of the animals actually try them on.

She even managed to get a few of them on the cats!

...to the risk of grave personal injury, of course, but it was worth it.

And the she started to wonder if maybe the boxes had any costumes for owls...

Outside MCA - Monday All Day

Well, Danny had already sort of planned on doing a little bit of grilling (read that as having Steve grill) for Memorial Day, but once he stepped outside to check on things, it looked like he'd been visited by the party fairies.

Which might even be a real thing here.

He wasn't gonna ask.

But either way, there was an ungodly amount of moddable food, drinks and the sort of decorations that made him mostly just roll his eyes. He made sure to put a sign in the lobby to let people know to get something to eat and maybe let anyone else know that they should swing by too.

There was that much food.
