Wanda had promised Thor merriment, and what was more fun than drinking and bowling? It hadn't taken long to explain the game to Thor, but it did take some coaching to get him to not hurl the ball down the lane at full strength.

Luckily Wanda had the power to fix those first couple dents on her own.

Jaye didn't have anyone here for Parents Weekend, which was a plus for her. It also meant that she could go to work and just hope people brought their own dysfunction in for her to watch.

And Tino had a guest! He was smaller and somehow shadier-looking and it was unclear if it was a relative or a friend or something else, and they were both kind of standing around and not speaking, which was going to leave Jaye with so many questions.

Parents' Weekend Family Festival, The Park, Saturday

By this point, anyone who didn't know how weird this place was before they'd arrived had probably gotten the message, but pretending to be a totally normal school/town/pretty castle island was kind of a thing. So, with the thankfully gorgeous fall weather happening, it was time for basic normal fall activities!

If nothing else, it might be another chance to get some inappropriate flirting in with folks that would make your children and/or friends uncomfortable. Traditions are traditions after all!

Nobody had been able to show up for Miguel this weekend, which was equal parts disappointing and relieving. So he was looking forward to a normal day at work.

Well, for Fandom values of "normal".

Which today apparently meant listening to the staff gossip about all the visitors.

Miguel sighed. "You're worse than the squirrels."

The busboy looked affronted. The cook looked proud.

The Park, Specifically the Duck Pond, Saturday Evening

The ducks and flamingos were very surprised at the sudden appearance of two men in the pond. One of those men was probably also quite surprised to find himself in a pond and not standing in a bar needling the other just for fun.

Stark, on the other hand, was aware this was going to happen and was going to take advantage of the element of surprise while he could. He knew this was almost certainly not going to end well but that hadn't stopped him.

He wouldn't really drown Spike but he could try and hold him under the water, just for a moment. Maybe that would get him to shut up.

The beach, Saturday night

It had been a long week, and seeing all the people here greeting visitors from home hadn't helped any. Sitting in his too-big flat had just made things seem more empty. So here he was, on a beach, in the salt air, less trying to overcome the lonely feelings, and more leaning into them in a way Martin would be sure to have upbraided him for.

At least it smelled different here, he supposed.

And he had cigarettes. Which were at least a different vice than the drinking he'd been doing lately. The smoke didn't look at all like fog.
