Covent Garden Flowers; Wednesday [11/17].
Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 04:10 amThere were only so many Thanksgiving floral table centerpieces and cornucopia-related bouquets a person could handle in one day, so Astrid was taking a break for making everything look perfectly autumnal around the shop to explore a new avenue of her piece-meal work that could have some potential: little cards to go with each of the displays or flowers that anyone decided to pick up.
Little rectanagles with meticulously watercolored pictures on one side and little messages on the back. Things like "Hope you're having a better day than the turkey!" or "Your stomach may be full, but here's a feast for your eyes!" or "You're sweeter than pumpkin pie." "You've been cooking all week, but trust me: these flowers are not for baking." Things like that.
She was going to slip a random one in with each order that people were going to be picking up, but, if anyone came in, she'd consider letting them choose their own.
Covent Garden is open!
