Saturday Morning- The Park

 It was pretty chilly out that morning, and the light coating of snow on the ground was a definite reminder that winter was here. But you know who didn't mind the cold all that much? Dwight. And a certain little energetic pup.

So after a quick morning run, the duo had stopped off at the park for a little while. Most of the birds seemed to have moved on for winter or at least found some place warmer than the lake. And while Snoopy was disappointed he couldn't chase after them like before he soon found chasing the snow to be just as much fun.

Dwight stood watching the playful pup for a bit, a large hot coffee in hand.

There was an awful lot of paperwork for a town where he hardly had to do any policing at all. He was going through the complaints than had come in since it snowed on Thursday. A lot of people seemed to think law enforcement could control the weather, which was interesting.

So the tree was back from its time outside, and Jaye was pretty sure there was a bird in it. Every once in a while she'd hear a noise, look at it warily, and then hear nothing for another 20 minutes.

"If anything flies out of there I'm leaving," Jaye announced to Tino. Just to get that on record.

Covent Garden Flowers, Saturday

What better way to start the New Year than to make a couple of new flower arrangements for the window display. Lucille had just received a delivery and got to work as soon as she had made tea and put on a record, and when she had finished, she went on to rearrange the bonsai section.

Her home was very quiet with Tisarwat gone, and both playing the piano and reading brought back memories of how different doing it in company was. Lucille was used to loneliness, and accepted it, but the shop was a welcome responsibility, one that, she reminded herself, she had never been allowed to have in her own time.

You know what was a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon, if you were Will Halstead?

With a stack of medical journals, reading about some of the advances and discoveries of the past three years though strangely nothing Covid related, so weird.

And yeah, he could've done so anywhere, including his hotel room, but he had a craving for jelly doughnuts so really, why not kill two metaphorical birds with one stone, and settle in at a table with some pastries while reading those journals?

The Perk - Saturday Morning

The last couple of days had been a lot and Liz was relieved that some of the burden had been lifted, that she had been able to admit that that she was struggling, admittedly that had been kind of obvious after she had passed out. She had also finally been able to get more than an hour of sleep two nights in a row … she was still tired but she was starting to feel slightly more alert than she had been in the past couple of weeks.

She was mostly embarrassed that she had let it get to the point that she had, she had never passed out from exhaustion before -even though she had also never had to deal with the trauma from experiencing and remembering a time loop before either.

She had decided to go to the perk and try and catch up on the admin work she was supposed to have done on Thursday before … everything had happened but she hadn’t wanted to work at the store or at her apartment so she decided to try a change of scenery and bring her laptop with her to the Perk.

Another thing she had decided to try was instead of her normal coffee, she opted for a tea instead so she wasn’t drinking as much caffeine at least until she could settle back into a normal sleep routine.
