Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

Steven was going on holiday next week. As was most of the island, granted. But even so he wanted to leave the museum in a good position for any visitors who might pop by. So Steven was spending his work day writing up self-guided tours people could take without too much difficulty.

Of course in the meanwhile if someone wanted a guided tour or simply to pop in and say hi, there he was behind the desk. Happy to be interrupted for any visitors.

Pixie Dust; Thursday [02/22].

The Land of Fandom was undeniably and in nearly every way possible an improvement on the Lands Between, but, for some reason, Boc was feeling a little...homesick for it. Well, no. That wasn't exactly it. He didn't miss much of the Lands Between, but he had grown to missing that comforting glow of the Erd Tree looming over everything with its soft golden light of promise every time he looked up. No matter where you were, you could look up and see the Erd Tree's mystic branches spreading all over the Lands Between, sometimes so powerful in its warmth that you almost felt infused with it, empowered, emboldened, much like the moon itself would inspire his kind to go into a frenzy, more viscous and more ferocious, the Erd Tree's light made him feel comfort and strength.

And he missed it. He missed it enough to make him wonder if it was worth all the horribleness that occurred underneath those branches.

Embroidery was not yet a very strong suit for him, but he knew that practice would make it stronger, and so, with these thoughts heavy on his mind that day, he spread out a cloth, got his sewing kit and some golden thread, and he began to work on a design that should keep him busy and distracted from such longing for some time.

Plant Parenthood; Thursday [02/22].

Eleanor, who still hadn't really gotten a hand on modern technology, was deep in the books that week, researching for best practices (if any) on ensuring that a drakondia could make it through a week without personal care, or if she was just going to have to resign herself to taking a plant with her on the school trip.

Was there official paperwork she'd need to fill out if she wanted to bring a plant with her? Should she just sneak it in with her luggage? Would taking it with her do more harm than good? She had so many questions and she was almost tempted to stop researching and just pull out a few candles and her tarot and try to get in touch with her grandmother, but she was pretty sure she didn't want anything to do with her anymore after the whole house incident anyway.

She had to admit, though, even if the logistics seemed daunting, the more she thought about it, the more she actually did just want to take the plant with her. It seemed like a good excuse to get out of awkward social situations if she had to go and look after her plant.

The bouncy dice were feeling particularly animated today; that was obvious from the moment Steph opened the door and nearly got a d12 to the eye.

So... don't mind her occasionally fending them off with a Root core rulebook while she tried to see about booking a portal to Los Angeles for a Sleater-Kinney in-store appearance and signing next Tuesday, shh. They had an indie-exclusive blue vinyl edition of their new album, come on.

With everything that had been going on in February, Liz had not been able to do as much work on the financial report as she would have liked and now that it seemed that most of the paperwork had finally stopped for the time being, aside from the odd email or two, she thought she would finally take advantage and try and work on the financial report.

It was taking a bit more time than she would have liked since she still didn’t like filling out the report but she was finally making some progress on it.
