Boy, if there was anything to make Prompto really glad for trusting his gut on skipping out on the school trip this semester, it was the pictures Gladio had sent him that morning to show off what had happened. Had it been some kind of weird paternal intuition? Or just dumb luck
Whatever it was, he was trying not to dwell on it too much....

...and failing pretty badly.

Good thing it was probably going go be quiet as usual today, as Prompto was pretty glued to his phone, texting back and forth a little with Gladio and asking how everyone was doing. Gladio said it looked way worse than it actually was, but Prompto knew Gladio didn't exactly have the best gauge for that kind of thing. He'd probably call Ignis later for a more reasonable assessment.

Magic Box, Monday

The town was all but deserted, in that way it got when folks from the school were on one of their trips. Eliot felt absurdly bereft and abandoned, which would make a lot more sense if he had spent any sort of time lately being social in the town instead of crashing at various people's apartments on the mainland after staying out all night at clubs and bars. But even his raccoon friend seemed to have something better to do today than to hang around the little shop, and Eliot had long since given up on trying to make his various emotions make sense on a regular basis.

Anyway, the only way to handle these sorts of feelings was to be as needlessly dramatic as possible. So he was lying on the floor, listening to sad indie music and chain smoking. Wondering just how much he could get away with in the shop before he was actually fired.

Literally anywhere else, he was pretty sure he already would have been.

The Beach - Monday Morning

Now that most of the island was away on the trip and there wasn’t any classes that week, Cutter and Connor decided to use their allowed two hours of outside time to have a walk on the beach.

They’d had their morning check in with Becker and now they were taking the time to enjoy how nice it was being outside and taking advantage of this.

“I’m glad we could do this,” Cutter smiled at Connor as they walked along the beach.

With most people off island, Vi didn't think it was going to be all that busy at the store today, but the gremlins were pretty dedicated, so she figured she might as well open up, and redo the display of two person rpgs while she was at it.

And by redoing the display up, she meant reading through any that looked particularly interesting for later.
