With her favorite actual-play series between campaigns Steph might have felt a bit at loose ends and tried to fill the void by arguing with people on Reddit. Luckily(?) for everyone, though, she had her hands full when the ceiling started leaking over the cat-themed games shelf and she had to scramble to move everything out of the way -- including an indignant Saffron who had been sleeping atop said shelf and was certain Food Human had done this on purpose -- while on the phone to get a repair person out and finding a bucket to put underneath the leak.

Which, she reflected as she texted Vi to inform her of the situation because Vi would frown at her so hard if she didn't, was really cutting into her chance to catch up on a few other APs. Damn.

Tiny seemed to expect Thor to have some sort of vendetta against creme de menthe, but Thor had no idea why. "Honestly, I do not care," he assured Tiny. "Knock yourself out."

Lydia hoped everyone was in the mood for Chinese food this week, because she was, and had therefore exercised her executive privilege to decide they would be revisiting Ching Tai. She needed crab rangoons, all right? She needed them. And this way she didn't have to fret about anyone having difficulty finding the place. Win-win.

Boc had been working on a new mending project, but then he went and dropped his sewing needle, and the thread on it matched the floor perfectly, so he was having a hard time finding it. He'd spent a good amount of time looking for it, too, and when he did not succeed, he eventually did give up and climbed back onto the counter to just find a new one.

Which was exactly when he found the last one, and the way he found it had him thinking maybe he should start considering the benefits of shoes...

Everything had started put just fine. Stewart was actually doing administrative work regarding the store, with a good mix of some nu-metal and metal core driving his productivity, but then, out of nowhere, the music stopped abruptly and what started playing, although he didn't recognize it at the time, was the entire works of James Joyce, read in an incredibly dry Irish brogue.

He wasn't really sure, at first, if it was just the stereo or possibly the drugs.

He really hoped it was the former, otherwise he'd have just spend an entire half day after that recording dead air to mix and sample later.

Fandom Island Museum, Thursday Daytime

"Bugger, bugger, bugger - " Steven said as he ran into the museum. He'd lost track of time that morning and now was late. Luckily Blathers was understanding about such things, unlike some bosses Steven could mention. Even so, Steven felt guilty about it.

He set up as quickly as he could behind the welcome desk and immediately checked to see what work was waiting for him.

Liz was feeling well enough to try and get most of her final end of month reports done for the month, as well as focusing on getting the start of April’s spreadsheets started as well so there would be less to do next week. She wasn’t planning on staying downstairs for very long that morning so she was trying to get as much of the work done as she could while she had the chance.

There was a duck and half a dozen ducklings in one of the cells when Watts got in. Apparently there had been a.... kerfuffle, Ralph was calling it, in the duck pond. And the ducks weren't so much under arrest as in a time out.
