CJ heads out to get a latte and a muffin, as well as to get away from the television. She now knows more about the creatures of the deep oceans than she ever wanted to know. Plus, now that she knows what squid do during the full moon, she's never snorkeling again.

Bringing her laptop along, she does last minute prep for her classes. She's in no way dinking around on the wireless internet, and absolutely isn't mesmerized by an optical rehabilitation image that her neurologist emailed to her.

As always, chat with her or use the post for your own Perk patronage!

There's a lot of noise coming from the Emporium, and if one were to look inside, they'd see Michael, Ben, Hunter and Mara busy moving displays and shelving units, reorganizing the store. However, there's a sign on the door that says "Open during renovation." Just don't expect to easily find what you're looking for if it's on an aisle being rearranged.

The lights are all on and for people wanting to visit Yazoo the doors are unlocked.

Wilson is behind the front desk, working rather intently on something. Given the forbidding expression on his face, best not to disturb him for the time being, though feel free to help yourself to coffee or tea while you wait.

[ooc: I am under a brutal deadline till about noon. I'll be more friendly after that and would love visitors, promise! In the meantime, feel free to stop by and visit Yazoo or raid the coffee and tea, Wilson keeps some of the best coffee around!. :D ]

The sign is still in the window at Chaucer's:

HIRING

Assistants or Apprentices
Must have talent for artwork and/or poetry
Apply to Geoff Chaucer for an interview appointment

[ooc: Tag my voicemail or comment here to set up an interview. [livejournal.com profile] serra_inara will be working Mondays and Tuesdays. I'd like a second person to take on at least one more day.

Ivanova headed for the waterfront. She hadn't talked to Jack since Zathras had picked her up (late) for the break, and was concerned as to the status of her employment. She reached Fly By Night to discover that there was no more Fly by Night. Where the floating dock and Grumman had been was only two iron rings set into rocks at the shore. All that remained of the ramshackle builing itself was a clear spot on the ground and a neat stack of boards leaning against the nearest building. She stopped dead.

"Jack?" she called automatically, knowing that it was totally useless. A bright orange something dangling from the stacked boards caught her eye and she approached cautiously to discover a waterproof message bag. She untied it and opened it. A fat envelope fell out that turned out to contain a few bills and a note.

Ivanova,
Couldn't get through to your voicemail. I had to head out - a buddy of mine had some work for me, and business was a bit too slow in Fandom to pay the bills. Here's what I owe you as near as I can figure. We didn't exactly work out a pay scale. Keep out of trouble.

Jack

Ivanova blinked. Well, that settled the issue of employment. Looks like she was going to have to find another job. And she had really liked Jack, too.

[[Jack-mun is going through a rough stretch so decided to move on from Fandom. I have no clue if she contacted the mods or not. I only know because I ran into her at the mall.]]

It was probably an odd sight to see a spartan soldier dressed in a delvian priestess garbs head into Blood Gulch Arms. The sunglasses she wore weren't exactly helping the image. There were police wires across her door, but she simply pulled them off and entered her shop, her movements careful and deliberate as if from someone with a huge hangover. Which probably was a good way to describe O'Malley.

There were signs of ducks presence everywhere and Tex was definitely not looking forward to cleaning this out. She'd probably just pay someone to do it. Her attention was more set on the armored door behind the counter. It and the wall surrounding it had huge dents from O'Malley's attempts to open it. She grimaced with satisfaction that he'd failed, that at least she had done that much. Moving closer to the door, she noticed that he had completely trashed the panel. It took her a while before she was able to override it and then finally she spoke the password O'Malley had been seeking; "Red Bull". The door slid open and Tex entered the untouched room. Her gunblade was lying aside on a workbench and she picked it up, traching a hand across the sharp blade as she briefly wondered how Yazoo was doing.

Gritting her teeth, she left the room again and moved up to her appartment. Rain and wind hadn't done her already trashed space much good and here and there she could still see traces of blood. She owed people, big time. First she needed to find out what had triggered O'Malley, though. She was sure now beyond a doubt that he hadn't been in her armour, he hadn't been the A.I. she had to deal with for years. This had been different and she was going to find out how.

((It's open for interaction. She's not in armour so that's probably a good thing.))

Wonka opens the shop. He strightens the sign in the window and then goes to find the employee applications so he can leave some on the counter. After having done this, he settles down to begin analyzing the chocolates Tonks had given him. He's quite cheerful today.

The Bar is open and the music is playing.

Come on in and get a drink and sing a little tune...

[ETA: For those of you attending Parker's B-Day party, it is here in a Private Room]

Having picked up Lancelot from the NPC Cattery Paige decided to go sit in the Park for a while and look over the lake, all things considered her and Sawyer's trip to Vienna could have gone much worse.

She holds the kitten close to her and rubs her hands together, being inside would probably make more sense, but she liked the lake.

((open to anyone))

The Chalkboard reads:

Closed for PFLAG!

[ooc: Same goes for the player]

Yazoo was settled in at their house and Loz was staying with him for his first night back, Kadaj took control of the Pub for the evening.

The music blaring through the speakers for some music station on the TV, he was sitting at the end of the bar enjoying one of the deep fried onions and drinking his juice.

[ooc- slow play until around 10 EST]
