V, beckoned by the occasional stirrings he heard above his head, had finally emerged from his basement.

He was perched on the edge of the sofa in the living room in an attempt to be both unobtrusive and semi-social, and was alternately sifting through his only two sources of literature at the moment: the - appropriately enough - "V" volume of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, which he'd found in an alley the night of his arrival, and the strange packet addressed to him that he had yay handwavey found outside his basement window that morning.

[Open to housemates or invited guests, yay!]

Blair wrapped his arms around himself as he walked through the park. This whole early morning-rise with the sun-meditation thing would have worked better if it wasn't raining. His sweatshirt was starting to get damp and there was no way he was going to sit on the grass. Meditation worked just as well standing up, didn't it?

Janice had managed to get hold of a coffeemaker on the mainland, but this morning found her -- shockingly hatless -- at the Perk instead. This was not so much because she hadn't gotten the hang of the shiny, modern Krups machine yet as it was because a trip to the coffee shop gave her an opportunity to settle in a bit more.

At least, that's the explanation she would have given anyone, had they asked.

Now, she was settled at a table with a large coffee (black and double-sweet -- to hell with this fancy latte crap) and a battered leatherbound journal, going over notes and ideas for the first few weeks of class.

She was also drumming on the table with a spoon, and dangerously close to chewing through her pencil. Stupid smoking bans. Stupid oral fixation.

[OOC: Open for all your caffeinating purposes! Home sick from work and bored, but occasional SP 'cause, you know, sick.]

Edmund opened the store for the first time in days. His minions employees were more efficient than he'd expected. For some reason he found that vaguely irritating.

Baldrick was still spouting propaganda and bad singing about throwing off the chains of oppression, rising up, and "from each according to his means, to each according to his knees."

He hated whomever had given Baldrick that picture book on communism.

All and Sundries is open.

[ooc: For the new, despite the makeover Edmund had many months back, this is Blackadder III.]

Completely unaware of what had transpired down the hall last night, Jude woke up achy and still a bit sore from yesterday. Setsuna's wings had provided more than enough drag and it had been an effort to maintain even a normal speed.

But it meant that he cleared the front lobby in under three seconds and made it to the park in a minute the next day.

Now, he was practicing on the benches and the paths and the streets and the storefronts, his tricks and his turns, repeating the same one over and over again until he was satisfied that he had it perfectly.

Wasn't going to lose, wasn't going to lose, wasn't going to lose . . .

John opened Sparky Repairs, and sneezed.
Oh, great. A cold?

Sparky's open for all your repair needs!

The Doctor was lounging about again, a suitcase under his propped up feet, his shiny deluxe lawn chair fitting him quite comfortably. Today, he had a tall glass of lemonade, with a cherry speared through by one of those little umbrellas in it. It seemed rather a decent idea, really, lounging about. Fantastic, even.

[ooc: Open! For one visitor in specifics, but anyone is welcome to drop on by.]

Even after his long conversation with Z yesterday, Jamie was still wearing his stupid looking outfit that prevented him from activating his power.

This is what you get for being stupid emo overly-cautious.

The fact that the music choice today was country music, the music of pain, was no doubt a reflection of Jamie's current mood.

Jane is watching Tino fix the zombie band.

She's never going to get used to that.

The bottle of... something helps though.

[ooc: Please wait for OCD Open! Caritas is up early as I've suddenly got a hair appointment, I must go sign some paper work for our new apartment, and a class to attend tonight. I'll be around for a bit a little later, but otherwise slooooowplaaaaay. Mod Tino and there's an extra OCD if you really want to talk to Jane. Weeee!]

[[ooc the second: For the new people: Caritas is protected by a Santuary Spell as per the Caritas of the same name from Angel the Series. This means when somebody tries to do violence, they will be transported out of the building. So play nice in the bar. Thank you.]]

Walter was in on time for the lunch shift. He'd served half the school breakfast for free, but now it was time for fine dining instead of common room cooking.

Wadsworth would take the dinner shift.

Ivanova hung around outside waiting for Blair to show up. He had wanted a big bang, she was going to give him a big bang. Not dirty. A big bang for which she had actually gone and checked over EarthForce regulations before coming here. Just in case.

Now, he just had to show up and they would . . . big bang.

Not dirty.

[[For Blair, mostly, but open nonetheless.]]

Jarod was finally packed. M wasn't happy with him, and the girls kept making whip sound effects when he walked by. He'd finally figured out what it was and what they were supposed to mean as he was cleaning up from Caritas the night before. That had been pretty amusing. Jarod knew that considering Parker's feelings didn't make him whipped. After all, she hadn't told him to move, or even asked.

He was at work behind the desk now, though, and trying to think of marketing strategies to attract clientele.
