After a firm lecture on underage drinking, the We Card sign was back up. This did not make Mazikeen happy, people tipped better when they had actual alcohol. And they did amusing things while under the influence.

Devil's Nest is open for your of age drinking business.

Lana was a little surprised to come in and find the store all decorated for Christmas, but it looked lovely. She settled in to wait for customers and try and get some homework done betweentimes.

Yitzhak clumped into the diner, jacket, heavy boots and all, for his first day of work. He hadn't really thought of himself as a diner sort of person, but he'd done worse before. And as far as he was concerned anything was an improvement over what he'd had to do for Hedwig. He might change his mind before long. Actually, the odds of that were very good.

For the moment, however, he was singing into a ketchup bottle as he set up the counter -- though that would change quickly if anyone walked in.

It occurred to him that maybe he should get himself a special apron. And he knew exactly what kind of apron he wanted. Oh yes . . .

[OOC: Open, but SP-prone thanks to work. Silly work.]

As Aziraphale was up at the school for a bit with his class and pagent work, Wilson packed up some catalouges and a notepad and headed for the Perk for some tea and some plotting.

He had gifts to research and get purchased. Wilson figured that after next Tuesday, when Phale left he'd fill use the quiet hours to get all his holiday shopping done. It was getting closer the hour in which his lover would leave him again and he had no idea where or when Aziraphale would return.

Sighing softly, Wilson put a smile on his face for the employee behind the counter and ordered a whole pot of mint tea, which he then carried over to a little nook by the window. Settling down in a comfortable chair, he poured himself a cup of tea and settled back to start flipping through the first catalogue.

[ooc: Perk is of course open for all your caffinated needs. Feel free to poke at Wilson if you wish!]

Kaylee opened Empire Records after class. She considered decorating the store with Christmas lights and wondered if it was too early to start playing holiday music. For now, she stuck with 80s again.

The worst thing about having a cold when you work at a church is that everybody thinks they're a damned commedian when you sneeze and they say "God bless you!"

As if the stuffy nose, the achy body, and the still being in an arm sling and having bullet wounds in your gut weren't enough, Sister Rosette had to deal with a chorus of tittering old ladies. Fantastic.

Aside from the cold she'd picked up from all the snot-nosed little orphans crawling all over her like she was a jungle gym (a jungle gym with lots of fooooood!), the trip to the mainland had gone exceedingly well and remembering it helped her smile despite her currently miserable condition.

She also found out that her sling was great for holding a box of tissues to carry around with her.

[[ open for all your churchly needs ]]

It hasn't crossed Jane's mind that putting a little Santa hat on Apu's statue of Ganesh might be a tad offensive...

On the other hand, she might not care. He looks so cute in that little hat!

Today's Christmas Music:
Chuck Black Christmas

Today's Squishy Flavors:
Red, Egg, and Nog

All and Sundries is open.

It was a lovely day for a walk in the park. It was a little cloudy, but the temperature was very pleasant for the first of December.

[[OOC: General park post for anyone who needs it, but certain people will be looking for certain other people here so I am putting up the post for them.]]
[identity profile] x5-alec.livejournal.com
Alec had gone out for a run, dwindled into a walk, and was now reduced to a wander. He'd been by the ice cream place, gotten coffee at the perk, and realized that Fandom Town was really pretty small, especially when you had the urge to get lost and kill time.

Now he was between the movie theater and the hill upon which the school sat, barely paying attention as it began to get dark, thinking to himself.
[identity profile] lovelylana.livejournal.com
Lana ran a few errands after work, then found herself heading out towards her favorite rocks at Selkie Cove. It wasn't the best day weatherwise, but the sea was always beautiful and today was no exception. She stood out by the ocean and just enjoyed the the sound and sight of the waves.
[identity profile] jarodpretends.livejournal.com
Jarod was surfing online, trying to figure out what to buy for the ex-girlfriend who has everything and is dating someone else.

Hmmm. Old shrimp.

Naah. Lacked a certain...something. He kept looking.

[ooc: Open and ready for invasion business!]

After experiencing the Devil's Nest opening the other night and seeing Becky get trashed by some variation on a Shirley Temple, GOB was attempting to mix his own.

His first attempt was to make a Shirley Temple then add a lot of whiskey to it. He didn't think this was the same drink, but at least it had a lot of whiskey in it.

While GOB was testing his drink, Tino put up a sign outside:

TEAL DEAR
Performing tonite!
Only at Caritas!

[OOC: Open and around hooray. Connection is sucking tonight. I'm probably calling it quits for the night. Mod Tino, please.]
[identity profile] badassbutler.livejournal.com
Now?

Now there were Christmas up at Cafe Fina. In fact, Alfred was personally supervising their assembly. He was also considering buying Walter razor sharp tinsel for the holidays. So that he could cut up vampires with Christmas Spirit!

Moddable Wadsworth had the front.

Aiden is sat at her desk spinning back and forth on her nice and clean (but still unhealthily squeaky)
chair and taking in her new office. She's alphabetised her books, cleaned every inch, and covered the board behind her in newspaper clippings of the DJ Pratt case. She's feeling more like a real PI every minute.

There's a smart printed sign taped in the window, Free Spy Pen, for everyone! because she sure isn't afraid to lure possible custom by offering free things.

Yes, Aiden does know that spies and detectives aren't the same thing. At all. She just doesn't really seem to care all that much. A gimmick is a gimmick, after all.

[ooc: It's actually open for business at last. Just in time for rampaging trolls and everything!]
[identity profile] rustyboywonder.livejournal.com
"H.E.L.P.eR! Post that sign out front, and stop eating the damn test tubes!"

The robot wheeled out the front door of the gleaming metal building, and shoved a small sign in the tiny front lawn with a shout of "Meememmmeememmememee!"

The sign read:

Open for Business
Scientific Trial 12/15
Test Subjects Needed

[ooc: Open for interaction. Information on Scientific Trial coming soon to [livejournal.com profile] fhplotterywheel]
[identity profile] mr-hippie.livejournal.com
The sign on the window now said:

HELP Please.

At the moment he was lounging outside in a lawn chair, reading the funnies.

Daisy still wasn't sure if she was planning to check out the re-opened night club or just go to Caritas, she just knew she wanted a drink.

Turned out planning things like class participation in pageants and murder mysteries was really hard.

Since coming to the island earlier in the day, the trolls had "improved" upon Efferton Manor greatly.  This, to them, meant spending a long time securing and blacking out windows, barricading doors, and making sure their captives would be very, very safe inside.  They didn't want any of them running away after all.

The rooms inside still had old furniture mostly covered with dust sheets though all the heavy furniture had been moved to form barricades and block doors.  The captives were kept mainly in inner rooms and what looked like old servants' quarters so they couldn't see the outdoors or possibly signal to other island inhabitants.

[OOC: Only for the trolls and their captives, please.  And NFB.]
