The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night

The bar had an oppressive atmosphere tonight, seeming darker and gloomier than normal.

Mazikeen was pouting by leaning on the bar, no Lucifer in sight. It wasn't going to be a good night for bar goers.

Lana opened the store on time, but was rather tired after spending a good bit of the wee hours reading to Dr. Wilson. She straightened up the store and put a sign in the window to welcome the new students and teachers.

Store was open, but manned(dingbotted?) entirely by Emo, Goth and the Register. Agatha was nowhere to be seen, but she sure could be heard. There was humming coming form the back room and periodically clanks of metal. Exclamations of surprise and amazement peppered the humming.

A really long pause.

Hey, Chad actually remembered to go to work today, unlike, uh, Monday. He'd been here Monday, really. In spirit, anyway.

Chrono frowned at the sign as Rosette put up the message for today. "You've got to be kidding me."

Rosette grinned at him, placing the final letter and admiring her work before heading inside. "You can't make this stuff up, Chrono, I swear, that's what the book said. Now let's get inside and draw those little red marks on you."

Jarod whistled as he opened the bar, to the point where the zombies were elbowing each other in a knowing fashion and Tino kept hoping for some good gossip, which he wouldn't get. When it was quiet, Jarod once again worked on his laptop, closing it when he sensed anyone coming close enough to read the screen.

A sign was posted on the door:

Schrodinger opened up the Devil's Nest on Wednesday, but did not have cocktails on his mind.

Oh no, he had the new people on his mind. The interesting, fascinating new people.

He would have to make a report to the Major tonight.


The trolls outside held a banner that read "2 for 1 drinks for new students and teachers".

The Devils Nest was open.

J, GOB - Wednesday noonish

Emma had lingered in her nice white bed, but eventually she got up, got dressed (white top, white tight pants, white boots and a white trenchcoat) and headed out to find breakfast. It took her a little while and many bemused looks at the street signs, but finally she found a bakery.

She ordered croissants and a coffee and picked a window table to watch the world go by. Once in a while she smirked at the thoughts coming from the J,GOB employee, and made a mental note to visit this 'Sin' at some point.

The Fourth Sin, Wednesday Evening

Miho had noticed the recent influx of new residents to the town, and had a bright idea. A sign in the Sin's front yard now said, 'Discounted services for new residents/students.' So the services were the ones no one ever wanted and the discount was five cents. They didn't have to know that.

Inside the Sin, Miho sat behind the front desk, polishing her knife collection and polishing off the leftover gingerbread and rum-with-a-touch-of-nog.

Park, Wednesday Night

Kabuto was running through a kata-style workout. He couldn't work on any sort of target practice, considering his kunai had been confiscated, but he could at least keep his chakra control intact as well as keeping his body in shape. It was annoying to not have his weapons, but he could deal with it. He was, after all, a weapon all by himself.

But achieving that status, and holding onto it, required a lot of effort and practice. The park was the best place for it, since it was the most like home. He could try to work out in the gym, but it was too noisy.

Outside was better.
